Finally got around to installing my GTX 970 SC ACX and I was hit with out much this loud this card is at idle. Seriously this thing is louder than my GTX 780 SC with the stock cooler and this is idle? I suspect I have an issue with one of the fans as I can stop it and the noise stops, the other fan keeps on spinning without much noise. It's either that or it's running at full load though Precision X is saying otherwise. Video of the noise difference below. Looks like you're having the same issue as Goldentiger. He has RMA'd the card with the one fan that is making the noise. See here: http://forums.evga.com/FindPost/2218818

Would be nice if you'd filter out this talkative male voice in the background so people can hear the fan noise.

Thanks, we spent today testing some cards in house but do not see this, looks like it will need to be replaced.
Someone will contact you shortly to send out a cross shipment first thing Monday, apologies for the issue.

I just bought my EVGA GTX 970 SC ACX 2.0..........The card runs around 70C-80C under load, which isn't as cool as EVGA claimed it would be. Also, the fan noise is killer, sounds like a jet engine getting ready for take off. Is this a faulty card or is this what all 970's by EVGA are like.....? The cooling system on this card is a joke.

I was having the same problem FrostedCore so I installed EVGA Precision X and set the fan controls to auto and now I don't hear nothing. before the fans were staying off until it hit 75C then run at full speed until it was cooled down and turned off again. Im think on getting ahold of EVGA to see what the problem is if they don't see this post.
