Any chances of them trying to shut down internet explorer and force users to use Edge?

No they aren't. Why are WCCFTech links still allowed in this forum? Serious question.
Not my fault if you're offended.

Because RJ couldn't meet his post quota without the site.

That will not happen till at least 2020 because IE 11 is what in on Windows 7 and you cannot install Edge on Windows 7, Thank Goodness.
... Edge is only on Windows 10 (clearly). So, obviously it wouldn't apply to windows 7 users, and I don't even think they would get the advertisement to install Edge if they have 7. If they do get the ad, I'm pretty certain it would notify them they have to have Windows 10 to use it. Edge is perfectly fine, BTW, there is nothing wrong with it. More or less, it's the people around the world who just don't like change when comparing it to internet explorer. So, in reality, people are complaining just to complain.

Yeah didn't see that coming... NOT. Expect much MUCH more of this behavior by Microsoft. Expect more tiles to become ads. Expect popup ads while gaming. Wait until they start inserting audio ads in their VoIP services, lol. It'll happen - remember, you no longer own your operating system, it is licensed to you. MS can do whatever they want.

here is a chart that I found relating to battery life while running various internet browsers. Found here: http://www.itpro.co.uk/web-browsers/24796/which-is-the-best-browser-chrome-vs-firefox-vs-internet-explorer-4 The article itself is pretty up-to-date. It also states: Chrome has a reputation for speed, and rightly so – it averaged a very nippy opening time of 0.05s. Interestingly enough, however, although Chrome was the fastest, Internet Explorer was hot on its heels, coming in just 0.002s slower. Firefox brought up the rear, with a time of 0.07s. In practice, we’d defy anyone to notice a substantial difference between them. All of our browsers fired up almost instantly, with no significant lag when switching between pages; they’re basically identical in terms of speed. But this is less than a second we're talking about, we're not wasting hours of our lives waiting for a browser to open here, but fractions of a second. Meaningless information, but rather interesting to see the results at least. But according to that site, FireFox is the best.
