So a few weeks ago someone asked me to take these birds. Male and female Cockatiels... Eh, why not, had one years ago, came with big 300 dollar cage no charge...ok. Anyway, now I have CiCi, and Packy. Guessing on the spellings, don't even care. Birds are pretty mean and have not been very socialized in the past years. http://imgur.com/gallery/wvSbS/new Im not sure how old either of em are, but if there ends up being another egg they will be on their way out the door and i'll get the noobs socialized all proper like.

Once the babies are old enough start helping feed them, and be hands on with em. Cockatiels can be very sociable and affectionate if raised right. I'm guessing you got these guys came with the nesting box and you kept it inside the cage?
If I'm reading ur post right? Feel free to ask me or PM me questions, I grew up raising Cockatiels and parakeets, now parakeets are antisocial....

I put the nesting box in there after I notice the hanky panky. So. I'm cool with it don't bother me none. Just these two are very anti social (she's not bad, he's a jerk...) as it is so this makes it even harder to get them back to what they should be. So if anything, i'll probably pass them on to someone who has that level of patience and just raise the kids. I mean, after they are weened etc. As for pointers i'm up for anything. They have been on a seed only diet forever, i'm trying to get them off that, what's the best way. Had em eating scrambled eggs few days ago, seems she liked em more than him....cuz again, he's a jerk...

Birds act differently to different people. My little Peach loves me and my son like were his mother but bites the crap out the wife every chance he gets. Get them some millet and try seperating them if you can for a while. It sometimes helps to get them to stop being so "mean". Birds are very smart (except parakeets) and know when they are good, give them the millet when they do and you should see results in a few weeks. Trimming there flight feathers often can help too. Gonna have to get in there soon to rework the way it's laid out. Shouldnt be a tshirt but it's the closest thing I had at the time. Gotta raise the outter edges a bit and creat kinda a bowl shape in the center. Keep things in the middle. Being new to laying eggs and all... lol

twins!!!! Congrats! edit: I use cut up thin strips of paper , they like to rearrange them, stick them in their tail feathers (still trying to figure that out) and chew on them. I use old losing lottery tickets, got plenty of those and they seem to like the texture for some reason. LOL

Yeah they make next to no noise. Unless I start whistling they don't do anything. So depends oN the bird. Jut like a dog that barks at ever mouse fart or a cat looking to he a douche. All of em make noise. Now parakeets....those bastard don't shut up
