Just installed the GTX 1080 and I cannot seem to access the CMOS settings on startup.  The options on boot never appear, it just loads straight into Windows.  If I constantly press the DEL key on boot, I get a black screen and nothing more.  I've tried hooking up the HDMI cable to the onboard video and I can access the CMOS from there.  I have the PCI express enabled from CMOS but not the onboard video.

Am I doing something wrong here?  Any help would be appreciated.

Might need to update your mb bios to support the new 1080 card. Hunt for newer bios for your motherboard from the manufactures support site.

Try hitting F2 repeatedly on boot.

More information may be needed to properly address your unique issue. (monitor, connection type, etc) However I'll share my scenario when I updated to a GTX 1080. I had the same exact issue using when using display port, accessing the bios was impossible. Issue turned out to be a setting on my monitor PG279Q for display port deep sleep. When disabled I was able to once again access the bios again.

Put your old card back in and the make sure the Bios is current on your Motherboard.
UNPLUG YOUR NETWORK CABLE OR TURN OFF YOUR WIRELESS NETWORK IF ON WIRELESS.
Remove the Old Driver and use DDU to clean out the Old Drivers and then restart your PC and enter your Bios and then Reset the Bios to the Default or Optimized Settings then Save and Restart PC then enter back into the Bios then Turn off your PC.
Un-Plug the Power Cord from your Computer Power Supply and then remove the Old Graphics Card and the install the New Graphics Card. Make sure you seat it and it locks into place in the PCIe Slot.
Pugged in ALL PCIe Power Cables to your New Graphics Card and then Plug back in your Power Supply Power Cable and then turn on your Computer and then Enter the Bios.
I recommend that you use a DVI Cable when you install a new Graphics Card.
