    The comments are interesting, it is like people don't read,they see a picture and react, and think they are the first ones to ask.
     
    But in my mind, if the drive isn't using the IMC to crank up read and write well beyond PCI Express, it just looks like a space-saving gimmick not suited for consumer use.

    For Intel processors, 0.122 x TDP = Continuous Amps at 12v [source].
