This is the latest information coming directly from AMD about VEGA architecture. Apparently the rumors that the launch of VEGA architecture might have been pushed forward were not entirely correct.

    Well they might be able to beat the 1080 and maybe the titan xp but volta will be out or around the corner.

    Maybe Vega is their volta competi bahahaha, couldnt get that out with a straight face.

    If you read the fine print... Vega might not be out until 2h 2017 as the fine print is extremely general. If Vega misses 1Q 2017 it will compete with Volta as that will be coming out around then at the earliest. If Vega arrives 1Q 2017 or early 2Q 2017, then Volta will be right behind it. I don't expect that Vega will compete with Volta, that will likely be Navi if you look at their roadmap. If Navi is the competitor for Volta, then AMD is in trouble as Nvidia will likely have a successor by then if they are doing a tick-tock cycle with a new architecture every year, which is what they appear to be doing with Pascal being the tick and likely with volta being a tock. I honestly cannot wait to see what Vega is and see what volta's successor will be.
