I purchased some 480 hydro's from Brendan a while ago (through the marketplace) and jokingly said to Brendan more recently "do you wanna swap them for some 580's?".. that's probably what you're thinking of. If memory serves, you PM'ed me asking that if Brendan gave me some 580's would I give you the 560 Duke Nukem I won with EVGA for you to use for folding, LOL. For the record, I never actually received any gifted cards from him or anyone else, and am not aware of any being gifted. As it happens, I very recently had to sell the 480's because of financial difficulties (off work on unpaid medical leave for nearly a month now), and no, I did not make any $ gain on them lol. It's none of my business, but the guy seems to have a heart of gold, and I hate to see him get himself in a difficult financial situation through his own generosity. That's all my comment was - again, sorry, no offense was meant by it.

Nice - haven't listened to Neil Young for a long time. Used to love Sugar Mountain, Needle and the Damage Done, Old Man.. etc. Nostalgia trip there.

Ahh ok, that I was not aware of - I don't fold anymore - not since that half-month EVGA folding team competition, I cant afford to replace cards now, even if they are only 560's lol. Amazing generosity. I guess if he can afford it, then good on him. I just hope that generosity does not get abused.

I'll help people as long as I'm financially able in a responsible way. I'm not doing anything stupid with my money. I live a pretty much frugal lifestyle. I'm a Property Manager so I don't have to pay rent or Mortgage. I'm not rich but I have more disposable income than most people. I could go take vacations or buy new equipment for myself but I get a bigger high from brightening up someone's day. I'll make an effort to spread some Love your way next month when my fun money account recharges. What you're going through sounds like it must suck big time and being sick doesn't help, I'm sure. As for people taking advantage of me I can always...

The new laptop is working great The only disapointment I had with it, was I had to make full system image of the laptop hardrive and windows 7 repair disk to reinstall the system image for backup, since Toshiba didn't include any restore disks for the preinstalled windows and laptop ultilities designed for this model for some reason. So at least I got that problem solved

As for people taking advantage of me I can always... Hey Brendan, sorry I am not trying to tell you what to do at all, I'm just so used to seeing selfishness and greed in people, both in my job and often just where I live in general (NYC is not known for it's selflessness, lol). Sadly, it is increasingly rare to see someone so unconditionally giving, purely for the joy of making others happy, and my instinct is to protect and make sure that goodness is preserved and not lost to the actions of some prat who would take advantage of it. I don't think I'm alone in that sentiment here. As far as spreading any love my way, look thanks but I'm not very good at receiving anything from anyone that I didn't work for or earn in one way or another. Just think positive thoughts my way - that would be plenty :-) ..I still have a roof over my head while others don't even have that much, so give to a charity if you are determined. I didn't intend this to be a "what about me" thing if it came out that way. Take care bro.
