As you know, I have (had) a dual GTX580 setup. Last week my motherboard died. Today a new one (same model) was installed and almost died too. The problem seems to be a faulty GTX 580 :(
So now I have only one 580 and the fear that it will soon kill my expensive motherboard again.
If EVGA feels me, they can contact me for a sort of RMA (I have bought them more than 2 years ago), just to understand what happened and why.

If not. Well. I'l live with that, I am not a gamer and I didn't play much with these. Just a few but and be games.. less than 50 hours I think.

You need to contact them and start a service ticket so that you can discuss what has happened. The forums are great for other users and Techs to help you, but you have got to initiate the service request for them to help you out immediately. If you registered the cards, just go to "Support" "Support Tickets" and then select the cards to initiate them.

If you did not register, you need to submit a guest RMA.

I will not take requests to use a specific code.

You probably just need EVGA Power Boost

Yes, maybe. But also, assuming that power boost helps, he should consider replacing his PSU 24-pin cable. If his PSU 24-pin cable is not modular (cannot be replaced without replacing the whole power supply), he should replace the power supply. Once PCI-E power related damage occurs to the point that it causes motherboard failures, it usually also damages the 24-pin PSU power cable connectors. If the damaged 24-pin connector is not replaced, he may continue to have motherboards fail rapidly.

Side note: although EVGA's power boost has been proven to help and work as designed, I have no idea how they ever got it approved or haven't been sued as a result of not getting it approved since it violates ATX standards and no waiver is signed by the consumer before using it. I guess that because it simply works, no disputes or lawsuits have resulted.
