Greetings folks, as most of you know we lost a long time member in JeffreyHam:
http://forums.evga.com/tm.aspx?m=1481705

I was told he was sick for a while but only diagnosed with cancer 6 days before he passed away. Having just lost my uncle to this terrible fate, I know 1st hand the horrors of cancer and how terrible a thing is it. I'm making this post to see if any of you would be with me to dedicate a days worth of folding in his name. His count is just over 815k points. Lets see if we can push him over a million together.

From what I understand his funeral service will be held graveside on this Friday, so I'm thinking maybe we can dedicate this Friday to him. Please post here and let me know if any of you are in for this. I fold for another team but I will be bringing a machine online here for this.

Oh and if anyone has any help or tips, please feel free to post.

I wasn't aware of a contest. But to be fair, cancer didn't wait to take him......

I'll switch my clients over in memory of him.

I will either find a way, or make one.

I remember Jeffrey well around here...good guy and helpful too.  Very sorry to hear of his passing and a loss to us as well.  Please count me "in" too for some Folding in his memory.  He is gone, but not forgotten.

im in the contest, but I will switch over on friday for this. you got my 60,000 points. you might want to ask the organizers of the contest to sanction this in the official contest thread. that is if you want this done this friday, which sorta makes most sense.

Proud to help. And will until we reach the million. Or 10 for that matter...

We need his folding name and passkey so we give the proper credit to the correct person.

P.S. For those in the contest... Even though I am in the contest, because I am over producing if I switch I am still going to add points as the penalties will reduce. So I will not have any negative effect on the contest points...

All I ask is folks think about that for their own decision...    Check that.. Rule changes about to be released...

We could also use his passkey if he has one.
I will switch to him friday if that becomes the plan.

Count me in. Haven't folded in quite some time but would love to do this for him. Just have to figure out if I can get FAH client to work in W8 preview. It will have to be tomorrow night tho, got to hit the sack tonight. If not I will probably just roll back since I am considering it anyway.

for gpus you don´t need one
For cpu, and to get the bonus points, we´ll need one. Either his already qualified, or another one that needs to get qualified for his name. You can use your own, but have to go through the initial 10 smp wus first.

I´m still using the old individual clients, so I can run each client independently

ok, so ...I run smp on my sr2 to get the 15k bonus points I normally get every 4 hours I can use my passcode and his name?

yes you can use your own passkey, but it has to be reprimed. Meaning for the first 10 smp wus you won´t get bonus points, just the base points. However, the results are still valid and help progress the science
