Hi I am about to upgrade to a980 ti, and after looking around I've decided that the evga hybrid could well be the winner as I prefer a quiet machine and I really like the look of evga's offering.

One point that's making me pause is the 120 aio rad and fan. Simply because I have 140mm fans through my case and can really hear the difference between them and 120's.

So the question can I under warranty swap the aio for an already owned kraken x41 or h90? (and my own silent cougar vortex's) I assume it's the sameme sort of Mount as all other aios based off pictures.

Thanks jim

Hi Andrew

Thanks for the quick response and welcome I appreciate it.

I understand, because evga don't know and thus can't warrant the thermal capabilities of another aio than the one you built it with.

The main thing is the noise so I will first look to mount my 140 mm fans using shroud adapters, but as part of this can I ask in a follow up is the fan adapter on the hybrid is it 3 or 4 pin?

Thanks

Thanks for that, (though I do note that page, unless I am missing it doesn't specify if the fan is 3 or 4 pin :) )

Jim.

I have a Kraken X41 on my cpu and it's no quieter running in quiet mode, than the Hybrid pump and fan.

So I succumbed and bought it, it's now sat in the machine as I type. I have some questions regarding the precision X software and an overclock but will raise a separate thread as it's OT. Love the fact that it gets the same heaven score as my 2 X MSI r9 290's at default clock, but wins thereafter (single card so no Xfire/SLI issues hence forth, I cannot tell you how much that makes me happy).

Noise isn't too bad at all, the issue for me is I can hear the frequency difference between 120mm fans and 140, so having an different noise is odd

I've got some 140 mm adapter shrouds coming so will try those see how the sound/ temps is
