Hi Just got me a 980ti hybrid and was wondering if in the future i wanted to add another 980ti card could i just add the air cooled card ...as no more room in my case for another radiator ?
SO be having the 980ti hybrid with the 980ti in sli mode.

Also is it worth doing this ? may want to add a 4k monitor next year for playing games.

Also im using an evga 850 supernova....will this be enough to power these two cards ?

Im using an Asus Z170 deluxe motherboard with a 6700k cpu ....which is cooled by a Corsair H110i cooler.
Any help most appreciated.
Karl.
P.S need the new shroud for the card when they eventually become available lol

Yes no problem only thing the card with lowest Core clock will be the clock that it is staying on unless you OC them.

850W i would say yes if you dont OC at all but it is minimal might wanna change PSU

4K is no need to play at Buy Rog swift ips 165hz G-sync 1440P

Thanks for the
Prob would leave the cards stock ...no overclocking .
Not major issue to upgrade PSU if need to in future .
I will look into a 1440p monitor ....but was thinking of getting a 4k tv and then plugging pc into it .
Will see lol
But thanks again for the info regarding cards :)...im guessing the hybrid card would be doing all the hard work ?

Hello everyone !

I need help ..... i recently purchased a EVGA GTX 980Ti Classified .... very excited to receive the GPU , but there is one thing that i am confused about on which i need help .

GTX 980Ti Classified GPU needs a (2) 8 pin PCI e cables to power it up ..... my power supply is a cooler master 800W silent pro gold . Now the confusion part...... i have (1) 6 pin and (1) 6+2 pin cable coming directly from the power supply .....  CM has provided (2) 6+2 pin cables ..... but these cables have one 6 pin on other side ...

Can i use than cable which has 6 pin on one side and the other side has 6+2 pin to power my GPU for (2) 8 pins ?

Thank you .

Regards
Fahd.

Yes I know its the same card… but I only have room for 1 watercooled card… so want to add a second 980ti… but aircooled.
On evga site there are a few different 980ti cards… just want to know which one would be best to get to go with my hybrid 980ti .

The FTW, Classified, and Kingpin cards are the only cards that are actually different. All of the other cards, including the hybrid and the hydrocopper, are 100% the same card, aside from the bios.

When you sli, the higher clocked card will down clock to match the lower clocked card, so you could go with the 4990 model that Sajin listed, and try to overclock to the hybrid's clocks and save a ton of money.

Thanks for the replies.... yes the 4990 model looks like way to go :) ...wonder if the new hybrid shroud will fit that card so making it look the same ?( got new shroud on my hybrid ) ...i presume it will .
If so ...thats the way to go for me ...plus be nice to have the back plate too ....but all extra cost lol
Cheers
