i manage to snatch 2 hybrid at the second email notification lol.

You guys should at least limit orders to 1 per order until demand is straightened out... it's kind of sickening to see people getting 2 when we're all sitting here headbutting refresh trying to snag just 1.  

...lol...Yeah, this is kinda ridiculous. I had one in my cart, but by the time I placed my order it was out of stock...

Seriously I am kind of ticked off. Why is it that it's in the cart and already pressed the checkout button, yet the system can't even wait and hold a card while you finish entering your CC# info? That's a pretty ridiculous shopping cart system you have there. It makes no sense whatsoever to shop for one of these fast selling items direct from you.
 
I agree they should let us pre-order to avoid this garbage. I wasted a whole day keeping this page reloading just on the off chance I might get one, but to actually get one and get denied at the last step of checkout just really is more than a little annoying. I am done with the 980Ti Hybrid for now.

Just called Amazon... "We have no idea when the item will be in stock. From my experience when no time frame is posted, this means more than a month." "No, there is no way for us to inquire about this product's stock through Amazon or the manufacturer."

Got a similar response from Newegg. "We don't know." B&H said that "According to the information we received from the manufacturer, we expect to have this item in stock around mid July." Can't really do much with that but I thought it would be worth a try.

Got mine today amazing quality and am so happy I waited.. it is worth it for sure :)

I currently have the GTX 980 Ti Superclocked+ ACX 2.0+.  It is still a "reference" design?  Just wondering if I can add the hybrid cooler if I decide to (right now this card is a little noisier than I like, but may stick with it).

Yes its a reference design however the Hybrid kit uses your existing reference blower fan to cool the vram.  If your going to keep your SC ACX then I'd recommend waiting for the Corsair HG10 980 that comes out in August and then purchasing a Corsair AIO for it.  This is what I was going to do but I just ordered a GTX 980 ti Hybrid to replace the same card as you.

Any news on when these cards will be available again?  I tried placing a preorder at BHPhoto, but their date keeps slipping...now stating Aug 5. I would like to try ordering directory from the EVGA web site again.

I agree it's out of hand. The stock "we have no ETA on if and when this item will be back in stock." answer I received from support is disheartening. I'd be happy knowing that the card WILL be available in the coming months.

I was lucky enough to snag a 980ti Hybrid cooler this morning. But what I really wanted was the Hybrid card. I'm hoping they will have some in stock within the next day or 2. Otherwise I'm going to have to order the 980ti SC and install the cooler on that. However, that means I'll be spending a higher total and doing the installation myself while getting a lower base clock than the hybrid. Also I saw a review that mentioned the Hybrid has a higher power target, since it needs to account for the additional power draw from the AIO, which means I'll have to figure out how to increase the PT on the 980it SC as well. Seems to me that having to deal with all these little minor issues, its better to just buy the Hybrid card, but been waiting for them to get more in stock.

Waiting on one or two myself.
