So first time EVGA customer, I just ordered a hybrid from a german retailer as it became available, quite expensive but couldn't wait any longer... Arriving Friday/Saturday, now I just need a good ASIC and no weird buzzing and my life is complete :)

ChampangeCharlie Shadoweye - just had this through from Scan. Perhaps light at the end of the tunnel for you :)
I quote:
We were advised that we have some arriving on Friday and some later today,as I am writing this I have just been advised that the stock has just landed in our good in department :)
Yes you are within the first ten, your order will be completed today! please check your emails for further confirmation.
Well....
It's now 11pm in the UK but Scan don't update their order system after 6.30pm anyway. Despite them saying they had stock (at roughly midday) and would complete my order today.... I ain't seeing any difference in their order system. Still showing as ETA of today. I highly suspect I've been fed more BS but I'll contact them tomorrow and see what they say :(
Now being told it'll ship today. Trying not go get my hopes up as I'll only believe it when I see the order status change.
Wow.....just wow.
Two days in a row, Scan have promised it'll ship that day and still the billing system shows it hasn't shipped.
Wow.
That's a new low in customer service from anyone, well done Scan.
Third day of being told it'd go out that day and it didn't happen. Now going to be Monday as an error with Scans warehouse PDAs meant that people with system builds got their order fulfilled before those waiting for the card alone, regardless of who ordered first.

Hey EVGA.. I got my GTX 980 Ti Hybrid today... so happy about it... I can't believe how quite this card is... I only heard a bit of liquid flushing here and there and then it suddenly stopped I was like that's it ? was that the only noise it made... now its quiet as a saint! or either I'm deaf, but the wait was worth it I love it... "hides in the cave with my card" for now...

starbuck, u have both ur hybrid and ur cpu cooler running as exhaust? any reason why? i was going to run them both as intake from the front and bottom of my case for lower CPU/GPU temps? Then I have an industrial 3000rpm noctua rear exhaust since it would be 1 exhaust 3 intake. Volume of the fans doesn't matter to me. I am not very experienced so anyone who has any suggestion would be helpful.

Yes, because with both of them as exhaust there will be cool air flowing through the whole interior which will also help cool other components. I would never spread warm air over the system by using them as intakes.

But, isn't it more important to have a cool CPU/GPU especially when overclocking them? Also, if you had a strong rear exhaust, there wouldn't be hot air sitting within the case, right? Not challenging your decisions btw, just trying to learn more.

Mine finally shipped from B&H Photo today. I've been thinking about placement/airflow too. I currently have my CPU AIO fan exhausting out the back with 2 exhaust fans on top...with intake fans in front and side. Should I mount to the top of the case as exhaust? I'm using an NZXT Phantom 630 case. I hope the hoses reach.

If you have an AIO for both your CPU/GPU then most of the heat in the case will be transferred to the radiators, so the air coming in the front of the case will generally stay cool until it gets to the back.

Many people do this. If you look at my system I have the CPU cooler as the top exhaust then the GPU cooler as the rear exhaust. Having them as intake means you're getting hot air into the middle of the case as it raises more or less the ambient temp inside of the case.

I also have my CPU AIO h105 as top exhaust and GPU as rear exhaust, works beautifully. My only concern though is when I get a second gtx 980 ti hybrid(still need the first but I do plan on eventually doing sli) where do I put the second hybrid radiator and fan I have a corsair c70 case so the only space left would be either in front or bottom, it's been driving me nuts trying to figure out the best way to do it. Guess I'll have to wait until I get both of them to test out different configurations.

Ahaha. I thought about this to the people who were running SLI. It would be aweome if they would make a case with dual rear exhausts.

This is why I'm waiting to get two 980 TI Hydro Coppers, can fold them into an existing custom waterloop with my exhausts being on the bottom sides of a Corsair 900D case. I can see the appeal of the 980 Ti Hybrids for those not wanting to do custom loop, but I think it's going to be a PITA to run two of them inside the same case.

I have a swiftech h220 x as intake in the front of an R5 fractal case . Cooling both the CPU and GPU . Case temp stays around room temp , 4790k CPU doesn't go above 45 on prime95 , Gtx 970 doesn't go over 65 . Trust me the orientation of your case fans and radiators only make a tiny difference in temps ( maybe 1 degree or 2 max ) . Just put your fans and radiators where they look good and fit nicely. Obviously you want some type of airflow in the case but don't get caught up in the push/pull intake/outtake nonsense.

Oh no I know it wouldn't make but a few degree difference, but at the same time I don't like putting stuff in intake unless needed be.

Yea, I don't even like my 4790k idling at 28. I want it to around 22 which is what my i7-2700k used to idle at lol.

Get a swiftech if your picky about your temps . My 4790k ideals at 18/19 minimum and 23/24 maximum . The swiftech is a beast . Room temp is 66 minimum and 79 maximum .

Is the swiftech better than the Corsair H110i GT? Because that's what I have. It's 280mm radiator, I have 4x 140mm fans in push/pull setup.

Overall Not even in the same league IMO . The swiftech overall is just an amazing cooler . Temps/noise better than any AIO out there and it's expandable .

I'm thinking more along the lines if I have issue, the problem I'd have getting support for it.
