Wow, NewEgg is telling me that they have filled the orders and all orders before mine were filled. I find this highly suspect. My order time is 7/28 8:42:36am

You mean they aren't filling anymore with this batch???
Well that sucks...

I spoke with the customer service rep and she told me they had ordered 200 and was expecting shipment. This was a few days ago. So I expect that there were over 200 back orders that were made. All I know is that the 27th before lunch I was adamantly watching via "Page Monitor" For changes in the website. Before lunch there was no difference and after lunch there was so I immediately ordered at 1:12ET. I am assuming that a number of others had as well. Post processing I asked to change my shipping speed from super saver to 2 day. I dont think that  changed anything. Currently my order is sitting at packaging.

Well, I guess I will just hope EVGA gets a new round out quickly and we are not caught in another multi month wait.

Yeah so B&H didn't get any on Friday after all. Had this on order since 7/01. Getting ready to throw in the towel

If I were you, I would go and chat (messenger) with the sales support on New Egg. They were very helpful in telling me if I had a good chance in getting my order filled.

I will hope you do because that would let me go back to them and use this as an example. But, if its like my chat with them, they are all out and the other orders were filled. Wish my page change notification would have picked up earlier than Tuesday if it was available before then.

I am almost certain it was not tuesday that it was available for back order. I was watching like a fiend trust me on that.

NewEgg left the back order option up for awhile after the 7/28 date that I ordered mine. I just wish I would have seen it before then.

Well I think that things are going to be running smoother. The last shipment had 200 GPUs so more than likely the next back order from the 28 is going to be filled.

If they only had 200 gpus why was I able to backorder on the 29th?

I just really hope it is fulfilled.

So I guess the pertinent question now is, when will the next batch of Hybrids be sent to Newegg???
Do they have an open request/order for the remaining unfulfilled orders?

A question to those who might have bought the 980ti Hybrid during the small window of opportunity last friday. I was one of the "lucky" peeps who could manage to place an order - EU that is. Unfortunately the card has still not been shipped.

Eventhough paypal says the payment process was successful the status of the order says: "waiting to process". Did it ship for anyone else?

Of course I thought ok it was available to buy, but it might have not been shipped because it was friday and indeed today the customer support just told me to wait. Well not very informative. And still nothing happend. But if the card is for sale, in stock and payment went through where is the problem? Playing the waiting game is the one thing I did way to long for this card. Can anyone here check?

Did you call to verify your order?  I had to do that and it shipped.

Good point. You may want to contact customer service. If the order is not verified in a certain amount of time they cancel it.

Well having to verify an order that I already paid is kind of new to me. But it is my first time ordering from EVGA directly. Nevertheless I already contacted the customer service who literally said they are going to check the order. Since then the status still says "waiting to process". So nothing has changed. It's getting frustrating I've got to admit.

In the original email after you place the order it does says any order over $800 must be verified, it also says that they will contact you but you have the option of contacting them but imo it's mainly their responsibility to contact the customer if they have that policy.

I didn't want to wait so i called them but I feel your frustration

I think Amazon has it worse than anyone, lot of us waiting with 6/08 and 6/09 orders and we don't even have a time frame of when a shipment is coming in.

Out of curiosity, why doesn't EVGA's store have a back-order option?  Why do I have to mindlessly hit F5 on my browser when I could simply select, "yes, I would like to purchase one" and pre-pay for it?  Then when supply becomes available, it's shipped to me in the order it was reserved using the same "2 per household" logic.

Seriously, my new computer build is only missing the GTX 980 Ti Hybrid and I have no good way of purchasing one at a reasonable price...very frustrating.

They have a notification system , there is no way they can predict how fast they will sell, on an item like this I do agree maybe setting up a waiting /preorder list (shopblt does this ) would be ideal but I'm fine with the notification email, I got the email and placed the order.

Try shopblt.com they have 45 on Order and they send you the card based on order date .

ShopBLT has had those same 45 cards on order for the last 6 weeks.  Notice how their ETA becomes past due when the ETA date arrives?  I've been watching them and stopped checking in because I lost trust in the 3 different warehouse ETAs that became past due once the date arrived.  Couple of the "past due" ones had ETAs of 7/16 and 7/22 IIRC.  I am sure the remaining one will also become past due when it hits Aug 12th, as this seems to be the trend with their untrustworthy shipment estimates.

So, I had given up because of my conversation with NewEgg earlier. Well, I get home and check through my emails, I have a order confirmation at 5:30pm CST. So, now I wish I would have put faster shipping on it.

Let hope for no pump noise and a good ASIC rating.

It's not that hard to take it apart and install the heatsink and rest of it.  More a pain in the azz but be careful with some of the screws and the smallest hex screws, cause they can strip pretty easily.  I picked up two sets and luckily I did cause one didn't work and I think those 000 philips screws are really 00 or something, someone else said 000 didn't work for them either.

Well I got the whole Ti Hybrid, not just the kit. It's preinstalled already so unless you ordered just the kit you shouldn't have to do any type of assembly.

Yeah, the entire unit is super easy to install...wasn't sure if he meant the kit or the whole hybrid unit, saying not looking forward to the install...that part took about 5 minutes...the rest...well ya, it took awhile, considering I had to take it out and open it back up again because the pump power wasn't all the way connected in.  Totally worth it though.

Yea, I can't wait because I already have extra screws to do push/pull combo. First thing I'm doing is doing an ASIC test though, lol.

Nice...I didn't do push/pull...temps are at 52 max and that's under heavy gaming and heavy benchmark...most games right at 50c.  It's so nice and quiet.  At least I'm not afraid to take my card apart if I have to RMA it at any point, since I did it twice lol
