Since I work overnight what I was doing when I slept during the day I set the notification sound to something really loud and annoying and I slept with earphones in my ear to wake me up. I left the PC on with evga website pulled up just in case, but freaking it came in stock when my electricity was out, so instead of ordering 2 within the first 2-3 minutes, I was so frantic I just ordered one.

WOW, I don't know if that's dedication or just insanity!

Well I built my new rig and I needed a new GPU because I sold my EVGA Titan SC Vanilla to my boss. I just ordered an Asus MX27AQ monitor with 2560x1440 so this was the only thing I was really waiting on. Plus I don't sleep 8 hours straight, I normally sleep 3-4 in the morning and 3-4 in the afternoon. The main goal now is to make those people who bought 2-3 cards to sell on eBay for some inflated price to have to sit on them or lower them down enough so they take a loss. The ones selling on eBay for 1500/1600 only paid $750 + $10ish shipping, but in order to not take a loss they have to sell for $820ish+ on eBay because of the fees from that and PayPal and once we get this card circulated around they won't be able to sell for that price, so they'll have to take a $50+ loss on selling this card. I hate price gougers who use supply and demand as the reason to jack up their price.

I hate price gougers too, they ruin things for us real users that just want 1-2 card for our use, especiialy when you see "more than 10 available" and none everywhere else.  However it seems you are on a crusade against ebayers and honestly to me is just wasted effort, there is a desperation factor that plays in all of this If someone wants to pay $1500 for a card and they have the money that's their problem.

Anyways I'm happy I got one (should be here Tuesday) too bad I'm going to return it back to EVGA,  why? the hybrid kit cooler came in stock after I had ordered the Hybrid Ti and I already bought a Reference Ti very cheap off someone so I'm going to install the cooler on my Ti, basically my main goal was always to get the hybrid kit but if never in stock then get the Hybrid Ti and sell my reference.

I only bought the cooler. It is on newegg for sale. Not sure if still though. You need to write hybrid cooler for it to show up.

Nvm. Already out of stock.

copy and pasted from ASIC thread just in case:

I have two hybrid TI's, one of them is 74%, the other one is 56%...maybe this is a coincidence, although I have read low ASIC being or becoming potentially a problem, but my ti hybrid with the low ASIC died this morning.

That's right, PC would not boot up, upon testing your usual suspects first from RAM/PSU/cabling etc, when I removed one GPU and booted up, the GPU started sparking and smoking from the far right side of the GPU, gave me a big spook, fell back, quickly removed the power cord. I re-tested everything else including my other GPU to make sure everything was working OK and it appears to be, re-tested the toasted GPU, no boot.

Very unlucky. And an ASIC score of 56%?? Can cards really get that low? I have never heard of anything that low, they should bin such low cards.

Well EVGA doesn't keep extra 980 ti hybrids in stock so unlucky again.

That's what I said to myself upon doing research on ASIC rating and if they have any affect, then seeing how low one of mine was--as a lot of users here would say it only matters if you're doing LN2 OCing, and others also disagree with that, so...then you have EVGA selling tiered prices based on ASIC scores for the ti kingpin, sooooo...

I actually contacted EVGA about a week ago to potentially RMA my card because of the low ASIC rating, I had monitored the way the card was working and noticed that the card does indeed get hotter and it does have higher voltages than my 74% rated one. The person also told me that the RMA department actually has their own stock of hardware for replacements. (My new one should be shipping out within the next few days, they did not tell me it was out of stock or that it would take longer.) Any who, EVGA actually offered to RMA it for that reason alone for having a super low ASIC, why would they if it was all bull? Some would even argue that, but when you're paying about 800.00 for a top of the line card, I'd expect better, personally. Even DESPITE that, and probably because I was in the middle of Witcher 3, I actually decided NOT to do the RMA as it's been performing fine for me...and then this happens...coincidence? Maybe, though I've read other peoples stories of low ASIC cards failing as well, but, once again, coincidence?

Oh then we got told two different things. I was worried about the pump noise and stuff so I asked if the RMA kept a certain stock of these cards for RMA purpose and the guy told me they didn't. I was like well that's rather discouraging. I'm hoping I get a decent ASIC rating. I'm going to be selling my temporary one that I've been using which is a week old. It's a 960 FTW 2gb and has an ASIC rating of 74.5.

A question to those who might have bought the 980ti Hybrid during the small window of opportunity last friday. I was one of the "lucky" peeps who could manage to place an order - EU that is. Unfortunately the card has still not been shipped.

Eventhough paypal says the payment process was successful the status of the order says: "waiting to process". Did it ship for anyone else?

Of course I thought ok it was available to buy, but it might have not been shipped because it was friday and indeed today the customer support just told me to wait. Well not very informative. And still nothing happend. But if the card is for sale, in stock and payment went through where is the problem? Playing the waiting game is the one thing I did way to long for this card. Can anyone here check?

I can't speak for Europe, but I I can tell you about my experience here in the U.S. I placed the order Thursday, it shipped Friday, and I received it Saturday. I paid with Amex, though, not sure if that makes a difference.

Good point. You may want to contact customer service. If the order is not verified in a certain amount of time they cancel it.

Well having to verify an order that I already paid is kind of new to me. But it is my first time ordering from EVGA directly. Nevertheless I already contacted the customer service who literally said they are going to check the order. Since then the status still says "waiting to process". So nothing has changed. It's getting frustrating I've got to admit.

Are you sure it was Tuesday? I was almost sure that the back order appeared on Thursday between 12-1. I ordered mine on the 27th and it got filled.

I'm sure it won't take too long, NewEgg is pretty squared away. They wouldn't have changed their status on this item from "Auto-Notify" to "Backorder" unless they had a specific amount of units EVGA committed to them on a certain date, which looks like was sometime last week.

Yeah, I am certain it was available to back order on Tuesday. I was working from home that day with a cold, it was probably around noon or 1pm CST on Tuesday. Well, I will hope it gets filled then.

I backordered from Newegg on the 27th.  I think that's the same day the Backorder option was implemented.

Order is filled and awaiting shipment.

We are happy to inform you that your order (Sales Order Number: xxxxxxxxxx) has been successfully charged to your Credit Card and order verification is now complete.

Well, I have a support chat opened with them to ask. I dont know if I chose the option, or had the option, for rush processing. I didnt want to open up the order and edit it with the fear of messing something up or moving it down the line. I will keep my fingers crossed.

Oh, and I looked at my back order confirmation and it was 11am CST when I made the order.

I'm in the same spot as you, I sent an email to sales-eu@evga.com and they confirmed my order will ship tomorrow, pop them an email or call :)

Wow, NewEgg is telling me that they have filled the orders and all orders before mine were filled. I find this highly suspect. My order time is 7/28 8:42:36am

I ordered on Amazon... on June 8. Maybe later...?

So much wait time.

XPS 420

8 GB DDR2 900 Mhz RAM...
Intel Core 2 Duo 8500?
Unknown AMD GPU(512 MB VRAM)
No name PSU(replaced my old, dead one)
2 500GB Hard Drives... unformatted for 7 years.
Windows Vista; installed W7(Vista didn't detect 8GB of RAM)
2 Disk Drives

So er, only 7 years old!
