980 ti classy NO video after bios / " windows starting screen. "

just got my TI, installed fine, installed the latest drivers, fine, all through the gpu running the system NOT integrated, reboot post driver install,
 
post, fine, hit windows start screen fine, NO image after that...?
 
any ideas?

    wow complete DDU wipe and re install of the first 980 ti drivers fixed this.
     
     
    is that normal to have a corrupt driver install?
     
    I used the drivers released yesterday.

    I wouldn't say it's normal, but it's not unheard of. I would guess you had a pre-980ti driver, or in other words one that didn't support the card. But the current drivers are supportive of the card.

    In the future upgrade your drivers before changing GPU's and it may not happen again.

    If you did have them up to date then I'm not too sure why it would happen, but it happens.

    I used the 980 ti driver launched on the 29th!
     
    Never experienced that before, card is fine now.  Running well but alot of stuttering im gta 5... which my 780 ti did not do...
     
     
    Sigh.  Time to explore...
