I would like to check if my max temperature is at a healthy level.  I have a single card at default settings with a modified fan curve to limit noise.  Airflow in my case is pretty good.

Today while playing a GPU intensive game (the new Star Wars: Battlefront beta), I hit 79C, which is the hottest its ever been.

Should my card be cooler in this situation?  I've read a lot of benchmarks and posts and it seems most people are getting a max temperature of around 76C at load.

Should I be using a more aggressive fan curve?

Thanks

79 is within tolerance, as can be seen in many threads about temps.

    3c is a negligible difference.

I've noticed that people are more comfortable if their card doesn't get tok hot. So, maybe it would be a good idea to set a fan curve and then you wouldn't be worried about it. It may also help increase the life of the card, like 7 years to 9 years. But I doubt you will be using the card in six years, so that doesn't really matter. But at least you wouldn't be worried about it.

Or maybe you don't care and in that case you can leave it. It probably would never matter if you set the fan curve or not, but it's good to be safe sometimes.

my fan profile goes by its temp on the cards, so 70c the fan is at 70% speed,, my cards run cool never get above 68C(top card)

    CFM intake 332 (Max rpm's)
    CFM outtake 260 (Max rpm's) + gpu's fan's
