I've noticed that when the fans on the card spin up, if they're running at around 30-35%, they start creating a howling noise that's loud enough to hear through headphones (and distract from gaming).  I've been able to repeat this at will by turning the fans up to 30 to 35% in Precision X or MSI Afterburner.

I saw on another thread a suggestion to create a custom fan profile in Precision X that skips the 30-35% range.  That seems like a good idea and I'd like to do it, but what is the default fan curve look like?  I know the fans don't spin until it hits 60c, but that's about it.

Just make them 40% all the time from about 45C or 50 C and
