All,

Need some help to diagnose a hard freeze with sound loop issue.  When running my 980 Kingpin on stock settings and playing BF4 I have been getting hard locks with a sound loop issue.  I have tested my ram using memtest v86+ and had no errors for over 10 hours.  Next step would be to remove my cpu overclock, but the error I receive from cpu OC is a blue screen.  This is a hard freeze so I am thinking it is either my sound drivers or my videocard.  My specs are in the sig below.  Oh and after I get these crash's there is no crash log.  It is truly a hard freeze.  Even when I reboot the issue it tells me is that the machine didn't shut down properly.  No other info is given in the admin events in event viewer.  Thanks!

BF4 puts a lot of load on the CPU. Remove the CPU overclock for troubleshooting purposes first before proceeding with other testing.

Just played two full rounds after I upped my cpu vcore a little.  Maybe it still needed a little more juice.  Currently at 1.248 on the v so that may have been it.
