So i have two 980 Classys in SLI ive been fiddling with the overclocks and cant really find any to be stable, im using MSI Afterburner. ive cranked the power target all the way up and i have no problems when running that, but as soon as i start to fiddle with the core clock thats where i run into problems. first i cranked it up to 110 without adding any more voltage then it would crash during the valley benchmark on 1440p ultra, so i then cranked it down to 90 and it will still crash, i want to know if anyone has any good advice on what to change my voltage to to be able to turn thr core clock speed up without crashing, i want this to be stable for 24/7 gamiong, my buddy has two 780ti's and he thinks he can compete with me, considering ive already had SLI 780ti's i would already know, but i still need to show him the true power of two classy's lol. ANY ADVICE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!! I have also attached a picture to any curious minds.

Are you water-cooled? If not, remove one card and test them both individually. Go in intervals of +13.. 13, 26, 39.. Each automatic voltage bin is set at intervals of 13, so bumping between 1 and 12 is using the same voltage as 13 would.

Don't just start with power target. If you are using 60% of your power target, raising it to 150% is still leaving you at 60 out of 100% usage. You want to bump that when start going up to 100%.

What are your temps like? Temps can play a massive factor into overclocks.

When you bin each card alone, you may find one goes to +130 and the other to +104. Together they may go to +78. It's just one of those things and why you test them individually to get the best baseline possible.

no im not water cooled, so they what do you suggest i put my power target to? and what voltage and core clock should i try first? also my temps done get higher than 70 Celsius and thats the top card.

Start with overclocking them with not voltage adjustments, once card at a time, as I stated above. See if one card is better at overclocking than the other. Once that is complete, you can start adding voltage. Use the classified voltage tool from overclock.net. +25mv should add some head room. Monitor your temperatures very close.

As I stated above, when you are getting close to the power target, raise it to whatever you want. Raising it before doesn't do much because it isn't being throttled by the limits, once you hit the limits, throttling occurs.

I want this to be stable for 24/7 gamiong

For gaming I would just leave the cards at stock as stock clocks will provide the best stability. If you need more performance for gaming go 3-way SLI. The FPS increase you get from overclocking the GPU isn't worth the decrease in stability, all games will use the GPU differently, you will find yourself constantly having to adjust the clocks to maintain stability depending on what game you're playing. Not worth the hassle at all for the very minor FPS increase you will receive.

It's absolutely impossible to any GTX780Ti compare with GTX980 Classified.
First GTX780Ti Classified models are little faster than reference model of GTX980 and maybe same or somewhere bigger somewhere lower fps than GTX980, but GTX980 Classified have little better and benchmark score and better results in all games where difference is bigger than in benchmarks. Plus GTX980 Classified is colder and probably better for OC. Between 780Ti KP Edition difference is not so big but again 980 Classified is visibly stronger hardware.

What resolution are you playing at on these classified cards? Like Sajin said, they are preoverclock from the factory. Overclocking them further will give you little to nothing for the amount of instability it adds.
