Picked up the #1 Position in Fire Strike Ultra 2X!

Nice score but I just had to beat it with my two G1's, my CPU OC might play a small part :)

LOL!, Yeah, A 5.104GHz OC over my 4.789GHz on the 5960X will certainly enter into the equation!
Are you using LN2 on the 5960X?

Same Here, SS at around -43C.

Guess Your 5960X Bin might be a little better than mine.

Hmm you voltage seem very high at that speed, I can do that with a lot less on water cooling and your cache speed are to low at 3500 mhz you need 4200 mhz.

Can you run single GPU and report max OC?

There's a LOT of Competition going on 1X Benching!

Anyway, Here's a Quick Fire Strike Bench at 1606MHz GPU/2001MHz Memory with 1X Classified.

Awesome. Is this on water? What voltage, stock?

Water Cooling, Testing ATM using an older version of Precision X (4.2.1) with K-Boost enabled at 1.2304Vcore.
Still haven't tried to Flash Kingpincooling's 980 Classified modded Bios, But did manage to get my EVBot Firmware updated to version P37.

Just as I suspected there are a few discrepancies from your card to mine, such as my VDDC not changing like yours.

I feel sick waiting...

Although there MAY be a Few other discrepancies on my Rig now after I have Flashed the Kingpincooling Modded Bios to the "LN2" switch position on the Cards and got My EVBot Firmware updated (P37) to now be able to change the voltages on the Classifieds, Plus...........Well, You can see for yourself what I had to do in order to start some serious Benching! LOL....

ATM I am using my own "GPU Only" Water Blocks after removing the Stock Heat Sink/Fans assembly as shown.

Understood, is dangerous to run the cards only with the GPU cooled? As I can see you are not using anything for power phases etc..
Thanks a lot :)

No, The Original Black "Heat Sink" Flat Plates covering the PCB components has Two Auxiliary 120MM Fans I installed for Blowing Cool Air from the front end of the Cards along the length of the PCB/Plate past the Water Block to the rear of the Card (Similar to a reference GTX 980 Blow-Through Cooler), So All the components on the Card are being Cooled Also.

Believe Me, The Original Factory Heat Sink/Fans couldn't EVER Cool these Cards while at Benching Temperatures as much as this arrangement does Now.

Would you be able to take a pic of your arrangement? I'd really like to watercool, but the only option right now is a universal block. I have my 980 Classys coming in on Wednesday and would like to order some blocks ASAP.

What temps were you seeing on air before you moved to watercooling? And would I be fine with just cooling the GPU if I have a rad with blowing air up onto the cards? Only for the bottom most card would be cooled though.

Thanks!

I have Never Run my Classifieds with the Factory Air Coolers except to Test them at stock clocks before I decided to water cool them, So I can't really say what the temps were then.

My Rig arrangement is an "Open Air" Type Benching System and is Not Enclosed in a Case Plus I am using 10C - 15C Chilled Water for my GPU Water Blocks on top of the Secondary Air Cooling for the PCB.

Since you have a Fully Enclosed Case for your System and will be using ambient Temperature water cooling, I would recommend you use a Full Cover Water Block arrangement.

I believe that the EK-FC780 Classy Water Block will also fit the 980 Classified Cards, But I haven't tried those to be sure.

Would you be able to take a picture of your pcb or maybe point me in the direction to find a picture?

Hope it's okay to chime in. Stock air cooler is not bad at all, much better than standard size ACX 2.0, just for a kick I took mine to +130 clock, +500 ram on stock voltage, stock cooler. Fans were at 100% but temp was about 60c.
This is not a test bed, just standard HAF-XM mid tower case.
Is there more, I think so?
And the score http://www.3dmark.com/fs/3133593
1399, LOL, 1 under 1400.

The Only Pics I have are from an EBay Seller that has somehow managed to install an EK Full Block on an EVGA GTX 980 Classified.

No Problem Andrew, That is what this thread is mainly all about.

Good Score on Stock Air Cooling, Only about 923 points lower than my best (so far) with these Classifieds.
