hey, so i recently noticed while playing GW2 that comp would lock up and i would have to restart. this is an extremely rare occurrence, in 3 years ive had 2 blue screens ( knock on wood ) and only a handful of crashes. I started to play GW2 after a long break and the game / comp would freeze quite often. I noticed that my gpu clock was spiking to 1175mhz. when attempting to oc my card, a simple 20mhz over my default 1163 mhz would casue heaven to crash and driver to stop / respond. I dont know whats going on. im using HWinfo to track max gpu clock and everyday now playing archeage its boosting into unstable levels. now i know i could negate the clock but then that kind of defeats the purpose of the 700$ cdn price tag.

just updated to 344.11 and its still happening.  i think my rig is in my sig, if any other details are needed, let me know.

thanks

Downclocking the video card -65 on the core using evga precision x or msi afterburner should fix you up. You said you don't want to downclock the card so I guess it's time for a RMA.

Interesting, your post.  I have a two year old GTX 680 2GB card and over the last week, (after downloading Precision X (the one version back from the current), I have also had a complete in-game lock up of the computer ( three times so far), and needed a system reboot, such as you.  This has never happened before. I wonder what is going on.  Until now...this card has been a solid, and stable performer.  I also am using the 344.11 driver suite.

I had it happen at stock...a couple of times..and it seems to have cleared itself.  No crashes for over 48 hours of use.  The stars must have been in the wrong alignment...
