Ok guys, I have a question. 
I've searched and I've only found people asking about how to control the white LEDs, but my question is, what is their purpose?
 
I'm guessing it is more than just aesthetics since my card recently started shutting two or three of them off, right before the fan kicks into high gear (there are no programs/games running that are loading the GPU), and then my PC locks up or randomly reboots.
 
Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

    Not much info on these guys out there.

    Well, this thread was posted on a Sunday, I'm not to sure if Jacob or the other official tech support for the forums works on that day. I hope to see a response today as I have no knowledge on this subject. If you don't get a response by the end of the day, I would contact Jacob about it.

    The LEDs indicate what BIOS you're using.  White is for normal, Red is for OC or LN2 mode.
     
    And no, there is no way to manually or by software to turn them off like the GTX690s green LED.
     
    EVGA suggest if it annoys you that you can cover it up with electrical tape.  If you think it'll leave behind the sticky residue you can cover it up with green or blue painters tape since they have almost zero glue and leaves behind no residue.

    I think the 'BIOS' LEDs you're refering to are a different set. 
    There are three LEDs on the back of the PCB near the output connections labeled as you say (Normal, OC, LN2). Mine is Green for 'Normal'.
     
    There are also five more white LEDs on the edge of the PCB near the EVBot connector.
    It appears that these ones are trying to tell me something... haha

    The LED's near the EVBot connector show voltage going to GPU, PEX and MEM. If any one of them goes out then for some reason voltage stopped flowing to that portion of the card.

    well I guess this is a bump, but is this the case with the 780 Classy as well?
