Locked5 Years Free Warranty

I build PCs for a living.  I have been an EVGA customer since the 7800gtx era.  I briefly read 5 year warranty and went out a purchased a GTX 970 from Micro Center based on said warranty.  I didnt notice the tiny fine print stating EU only.  So my question is why not USA?  Does EVGA have something against the USA?  I'm thinking of returning the GPU based on the 3 year warranty.  Seems like misleading advertising.  I hoping support can upgrade me to 5 year so I don't have to return the gpu and stop supporting EVGA and buying 20x of their GPUs each month.

    None of the gfx card brands have a 5 year warranty in the US.  If you want it, pay for the extended and stop being a whinny cheapskate.
