can sr2 use 8gb sticks?

Yep-I'm running 8GB sticks in mine just fine.

What kind of brand are you running? Kingston? And what specs?

I'm running Edge 3x8GB Edge memory (edgetechcorp.com).  Rear sticker says RAM is manufactured by Samsung  (8GB 2Rx4 PC3-10600R).  At stock speed CPU-Z says CL7, tRCD7, tRP7, tRAS20, tRFC86,CR1T.

I've not O/C'd them, so I can't tell you much (er, anything) about how they perform when pushed.

HTH,
Brad

So you would recommned 1600 would be best bang for the buck?Maybe if the 2000 Kit costs not much more than 1600 Kits I would buy it. I think Gskill actually has some killing price tag. Corsair and Kingston wants way too much for their 1600 24GB Kits.

I think you should take the ones you like. Price for 48GB Kit will be insane. Maybe the Ripjaws look better, but I don't see any fan? At this speed you will need a fan.

Hi I show this on newegg
G.SKILL Trident+ Turbulence II 24GB (6 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2000 (PC3 16000) Desktop Memory Model F3-16000CL8T2-24GBTDD
[link=http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231390&Tpk=F3-16000CL8T2-24GBTDD]http://www.newegg.com/Pro...=F3-16000CL8T2-24GBTDD[/link]
$1,499.99
Now if you want 48gb of ram times this by 2 which gives you $2999.98
G.SKILL Ripjaws + Turbulence Series 48GB (12 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1900 (PC3 15200) Desktop Memory Model F3-15200CL8T4-48GBRHD
[link=http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231392]http://www.newegg.com/Pro...x?Item=N82E16820231392[/link]
$3,999.99
Now  if you take $3,999.99 take it away from that $2999.98 it will be 1000.01 know that s a big saving so I would buy  G.SKILL Trident+ Turbulence II 24GB (6 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2000 (PC3 16000) Desktop Memory Model F3-16000CL8T2-24GBTDD as it cheaper than G.SKILL Ripjaws + Turbulence Series 48GB (12 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1900 (PC3 15200) Desktop Memory Model F3-15200CL8T4-48GBRHD do you agree?
To bad I don’t live in usa:( Now I have to look and buy from someware elso how well me be some one can help me out if you want to help me out then please pm me:)

What does it take to get these WSXMP certified?
