So I tried this newer driver Friday night, worked fine in Doom but Forza Horizons I kept seeing graphical glitches on the cars/roadways etc. Why are the newer drivers worse than the older ones? Shouldn't issues be getting resolved as newer drivers release? This isn't normal of Nvidia drivers.

Are you running at stock clocks? I know updating a driver and your previously stable OC becomes unstable is a common thing.

newest driver doesn't necessarily mean better than older ones.

I remember one of the "new" drivers failing on fan controllers burning cards during the gtx 580/480 era. (http://betanews.com/2010/03/18/nvidia-admits-geforce-drivers-responsible-for-fan-problems-issues-updates/) i dodged the bullet because i stagnated.

that's why I usually wait a day or two for new drivers. that being said, you can always revert back.
