I didn't try this BETA and I will wait new WHQL driver but I 337.88 WHQL
had better performance in benchmark tests than 335.23 WHQL for me.
Not worse, better. Except white known artifacts in Valley and known full load during black screen in Skydiver.
335.23 WHQL and previous drivers no such problems but little less performance.

I am getting crashes as well at my normal res of 1440 with my titans at stock clocks.  Seems to be pretty stable at 1080 though even with high overclocks on cpu/gpu.

Are those artifacts the white spots on the mountains in the distance in Valley that flicker on and off really fast?

After upgrading to the 340.43 driver as soon as Windows 8.1 booted the system would hard lock and the screen would go black. I had to go into safe mode and remove the drivers completely and reinstall 337.88. This is also with no OC on my 780 Ti's. Be careful with these drivers.

I am replying to this post since I have tried to install this driver and had no success.  Here is my situation: I have a new GTX 780 and it has worked well; however, I have been working in 3dsmax 2013 and begun to have problem.  I am not sure where the problem lies but decided to try to update the video driver that I installed from the EVGA DVD that came with the card.  I uninstalled the driver and tried to install the 337.88 driver and the install failed.  I tried several times and all failed.  I read somewhere on a forum that the EVGA Precision should be uninstalled.  I did that.  Tried installing driver again with no luck.  I downloaded several other drivers from the nVidia site and none of them would install.  So, here I am with no video card driver installed and my 3 monitor setup is down to the default monitor.  I would certainly appreciate any help or suggestions as to why I am unable to install any drivers for the card.  In retrospect, I probably should have left well enough alone!

Thanks in advance for your help,

Try this:  Go to Nvidia's site and download to your desktop, the driver of your choosing.

    Download this also  >>  http://www.guru3d.com/files_details/display_driver_uninstaller_download.html

Follow the link above and follow the instructions exactly.  Once done and back in Windows, run the driver installer again.  Select a custom install.  Only install the graphics & PhysX components of the driver unless you use stereoscopic 3D.  Don't install anything else.  Reboot!

Let us know if that works out for you or not...

    bdary,

Thanks for your reply.  I have done what you suggested and downloaded the Display Driver Uninstaller program and run it several times to remove all nVidia as well as AMD drivers.  I have rebooted several times and tried to install several versions of the nVidia driver for my GTX 780.  NONE of my attempts have succeeded.  Every one of the install attempts quickly says that the installation failed.  I have tried to install the driver that is on the EVGA DVD and the same thing happens.  I am at a loss as to how to proceed to get my card working again.  I am getting just a little aggravated with nVidia at this moment because no where on their web site can you find any kind of information about what to do if you run into problems installing their drivers.  In searching the web, I have noticed many people report difficulties with nVidia drivers, and now unfortunately, I am one of them.

    What do I do next?

    Thanks,

    Tom

It's not the "recommended" way to install the graphics driver, but I would try to run the graphics driver installer from safe mode.  Install it as I suggested above, but this time with only graphics component.  No PhysX this time and nothing else.

Report back after you tried this method.

Other than a fresh OS install, no I'm afraid.  I can't imagine what's stopping you from installing the drivers.  I'm out of idea's beyond that.  Maybe someone else will chime in with a suggestion(s).

I have been assuming that the driver you're selecting from Nvidia is for your card and OS (32bit or 64bit specifically)?

    bdary,

All of the downloads have been 64 bit and for the GTX 780 card.  My latest attempt at solving my problem was to remove the GTX 780 card and reboot the computer without any graphic card in it.  Then I shut down the computer and reinstalled the 780 card, rebooted (hoping that a miracle was about to happen) and there was absolutely no change in getting any of the  nVidia drivers to install.  After working on this problem for the better part of three days, I am going to reinstall the MSI Twin Frozer card that I replaced with the GTX 780 card, install its drivers to see if that will get me back to the three monitor setup that I had before I tried to update the nVidia driver.  I am beginning to think that maybe something happened to the 780 when I uninstalled its driver because Windows is simply not finding the card.  However, I don't know how to check it to see if it really has become defective.  This kind of problem is new to me and I can't really seem to find any solution that I can live with.  Bdary, you suggested that I might have to do a clean install of Win 7 to solve the problem.  That is absolutely the LAST thing I want to do since the hard drive with Win 7 on it is full of programs, some of which have very tricky and difficult configurations and when reinstalling them, I am likely to create problems that don't now exist.  By the way, this machine has evolved over several years with almost everything in it having been replaced at least once.  The only components that I haven't replaced are the hard drives.  I have added drives, but I have never had to actually replace one.  Over the years as Windows changed, I started migrating from a single-boot machine to a multi-boot machine with Win XP, then XP 64 bit, then Vista, and finally Win 7 64 bit. Since I got Win 7, it is the only OS that I have used.  I have room on several of the drives to do another install of Windows, so I have considered buying Win 8.1 and installing it to see if I can get the GTX 780 card to work with a new install and without disturbing my Win 7 installation and the programs on that drive.  I am sorry about the length of this post, but in my frustration, all of this stuff just poured out!

Anyone with new suggestions?  I wish that someone from nVidia would call me at this moment to ask how satisfied I am with my new nVidia card and if I have had any problems with it.  They might get an ear full!

    Enough stuff for now,

Only something simplistic as checking the card in device manager and trying update driver tab... sure that's been attempted at this point or completely useless anyway. Sure does sound like a complex system you got going there.
