Better image quality in games and benchmarks, lower score in 3dmark11 (due to better image quality.), lower minimum fps (lost 3 min frames) along with higher maximum fps in heaven 3.0, K-Boost and NvidiaInspector .bat files work correctly.

spoke to soon, getting that famous nvlddmk display driver crash, bf3 crashes on load, BL 2 crashes after a while and the first GPU usage is lower then the 2nd gpu = low framerate

then you might consider creating a new thread, because it ain't the dirvers fault.

Just curious Maniac...what's the issue with leaving MSI AF installed and installing these drivers? What has changed in this driver to affect installation?

Normally I wouldn't bother with the new beta drivers but I would like to play the Crysis 3 Multiplayer beta tomorrow with full SLI.

Thanks

Due to "issues" I now personally recommend that users uninstall Precision/Afterburner (and answer NO when asked to save profiles/data) and one reboot, before installing a different driver.

This is because Precision/Afterburner can become corrupted when it is injected (loaded) into the Nvidia driver.
This most often occurs when the OSD function is enabled

Over half the user problems I have seen the last 4 months can be traced to this exact problem.

Its such a quick and simple way to avoid issues, that it should now be done for every driver install
UNINSTALL Precision/Afterburner and REBOOT once
Then install your driver
Do NOT reinstall the program until your new driver is configured and you have rebooted -once-

Would quitting the precision process before installing work? I've noticed issues with precision when updating drivers as well but it's always been remedied by closing out of precision before doing the update/reboot.

Yes if the data files have not been corrupted

The question is how would you know? This problem can create very different issues, from major crashing to minor little stuttering...

If in doubt, Uninstall and do NOT save the data/profiles
Reboot once after the uninstall is completed.

Like I said, if you want it right the first time without having issues
Do the correct uninstall and reboot -before- putting in drivers
That is my suggestion for best results everytime

If unsure the gun is loaded, always point away from yourself and pull the trigger.

Also, think I should grab these drivers? I'm kinda bored and wouldn't mind reinstalling old drivers if these fail. Just don't want to reinstall windows.

My Laptop (GT70 Dominator Pro):
-Intel I7 4810MQ @ 2.8ghz .
-12GB RAM.
-GTX 880M..
-1x Samsung 840 EVO 500GB.
-1X 1TB 7200 spinny drive.

for me so far no issues installing or anything noticeable in games.BF3 seems a tad crisper and a "little" less stutter/hitching at "times".

Someone gift me a 120hz monitor to make sure
Smoothing Vsync was also not a option listed, gonna have to say its a detected value that only installs if  SLI  is found.

Everything still working fine with this new driver.  No more cold boot issue's.  I played AC3 for a couple hours last night...can't say I noticed any decrease or increase in the way the game looked or played.  I did try out the "smooth" option and I saw quite a drop in FPS (10 - 20fps) overall compared to using adaptive vsync which is what I always use with my monitor refresh rate set at 100hz.  The game wasn't as smooth using "smooth" vs "adaptive" meanig I saw some stutter and minor screen tearing where I don't using adaptive.

My experience with 313.95 has been positive so far. FC3 now plays smoother and looks much more cleaner and vivid to me. I estimate an increase of about 6-8 fps. Dirt 3 is buttery smooth and looks nicer. Gained about 700+ points on the catzilla benchmark... Recommended driver!

Did anyone else notice a decrease in the maximum allowed voltage through Precision X?!
I updated to 313.95 and 1150mV is the maximum voltage I can set.
It was 1175mV before...?!?!

The extra frame might not be that noticeable but the frame time could be.

@jacob650:

Exactly the same issue (GTX 670 FTW), 313.95: max. 1.15V, 310.90 and before: 1.175V, quite annoying. It is reproduceable and it does not relate specifically to evga precision. A short experiment with the Afterburner had the same result. So it is either a general problem with the driver itself, or a bug concerning the old Rivatuner-Engine ...

my cards ( evga sli gtx680's 4GB FTW ) are clocked running at 1254C 3557M , so if i go higher more likely they will crash? That sucks, Hope some one else noticed and can enlighten us on a sulotion/fix .

My GTX 670 runs 1306MHz @1.175V, unfortunately 1.15V are not enough to run the frequency in a stable way, absolutely a no-go ... But I'm quite sure, the programmer of precision can make a workaround, except nvidia introduced this limitation for purpose ...

Both my 670 FTW's still achieve the same stock boost clocks and have the same max voltage of 1.175v using this driver as they have with the previous drivers.  I just ran a benchmark to double check.  I should add that I use PrecX for fan control and monitoring.

I experienced major issues with both .95 & .96 and tri-sli.  Disabled (sli), no issues.  However when I enabled sli most of my games would cause the flashing/blank screen before requiring a restart.  Going back to .70 fixed the issue.  I hope it won't be necessary to remove msi afterburner and its profile everytime a driver is updated?  I use the osd and it would be a hassle to set that up every time a driver is released.

Thats probably whats causing the issue....

I'll give it a try and report back :).

Update - Discovered my issue.  It is having my monitors in clone mode.  Extending the monitors fixes the problem.  I use clone mode because when I do live game-play on twitch tv I play on one pc, and stream from the other.  Because I need clone mode to work properly, unfortunately I'll need to use the older drivers.  Hopefully it gets sorted out?

Installed the 313.96 Drivers so far they seem ok, i got a better score running unigen heaven, but does anyone have and explanation to why does EVGA Precision X limited the voltage max to 1150mV It was 1175mV before...? does it have to do with the beta drivers? how many people noticed this beside rumpel01 ? if it is software issue then ill wait , i just lowered my clocks a little bit.

On 300 series drivers the max is 1150mV. It doesn't really matter though since the card will still boost to 1175mV during gaming.

Re:313.95 GeForce R313 Driver for Crysis 3 (Beta Driver) 2013/01/29 19:49:20 (permalink)
So this is supposed to be the "Crysis 3 beta driver", yet..

"An important note for you SLI users, the 313.96 drivers need a small profile update to enable SLI support, expect to see an EVGA SLI Enhancement posted tomorrow to enable SLI."

Seems like they've really been dropping the ball over there

EVGA_JacobFOn 300 series drivers the max is 1150mV. It doesn't really matter though since the card will still boost to 1175mV during gaming.

1175mV is also common and adjustable in the 310.90-driver, in 313.95/96 not anymore, and unfortunately the card does not boost up to 1175mV (just very rarely), relating to the OSD, it simply crashes after a while since 1150mV are simply not enough.

under testing my 680FTW+ was 1.175 @ 1175 GPU Clock ,now it only maxes at a 1150(rarely 1163) @ 1.150 Voltage also.Card will not hit 1175 under tessy or furry stress testing(1150 voltage is constant in testing) .Jacob i think you may be wrong :(
