Do No look at the Time under ETA until you have at least completed 10%, what was the Percent Completed when you reviewed the above task.

  • The 2016 TZC is underway - fire up those rigs and burn through those WUs!  Lets have some fun and break some records
  • An issue where the zero point was improperly set caused several hours of WUs prior to the official start of the TZC to be improperly counted as contest points
    • Basically, I made an inadvertent change to drougnor's stats system that caused a minor issue and when he fixed the issue he was unaware it threw off the zero point by 5 hours
    • Fixing the error has decreased the points for approximately half of the contest folders and set both team back around 5 to 7 million points
    • The full impact can be found here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1GB1ecLcG6feURFLBdAL8CyaTUXsdV9BFMi_Ceg1TnXg/edit#gid=0
    • Thanks to DutchForce for following up and investigating this issue and drougnor helping to track down the issue
    • I apologize for any confusion or inconvenience this has caused

Thanks for the update.. I knew something funky happened and I'm glad it's all set straight.

I want to thank ALL THE GUYS in the stats department. Every year it gets better and better.

That's what happens when you mess with the points pimp

Don't worry, we're planning on letting them know the contest has started sometime in the next few days.

If the target goal for 2016 is 600 million and Pacific is generating 9 million points per day, the contest should run for approximately two months. Is there some way for Pacific to recruit at this late date?

I think the target is for the combined teams. Pacific, Central and Other is 1 team and Eastern and Mountain the other.

Yodap is right, the 600 Million target is for the combined E/M and C/P/O teams.

Well this week we have dropped down to the mid 50 and 60 in the day time so I am not doing to bad ATM.
My circuit breakers are not warm like last year with the newer 9xx and 1xxx cards so I am doing ok here as well.
Though I am turn off my AMD Folder during the day and running it only at night because of the Power it draws to run.
If this started last week I could only Fold after the sun goes down and turn off before noon.
Low 80s and upper 70s make it hard on my Air Unit, and the cost of Elect to run all.

56 Here and I think I need to put some socks on now, my feet are getting a little cold. First time this Year.
I have 8 GPUs running 7x24 and 2 running 12 Hours or so a day ATM.
But also I want to hit the upper 10 over on World Community Grid before the end of this year.

Hey, all. Up here in the Northern Denver suburb of Lafayette, CO, this past October has tied with two other years as the second-most warmest month on record according to the NWS. I've kept my AC off except when it gets >80 degrees F, but have only used AC for about 5 days.

If the weather keeps up like this or a tad cooler, I may only have to rely on a couple PCs to warm the place up without using the HVAC system ... sweet, since my energy bill won't be affected as much! Just in time for the TZC!

You two are pretty high up there. I am at sea level in the North East part of Florida (Jacksonville) where it is supposed to get cold. (not like Denver) It appears we are not going to have a winter.
