I've just sent PM's to C/P/O members and I also mentioned the NVidia driver problem in the message. I'm now going to sent PM's to Eastern (I saw Bcavnaugh already PM'd Mountain). Edit: I've also sent PM's to Eastern.

Thank you very much DutchForce!! Including the driver info is a great idea, since some may not keep up with it.

Someone care to explain really quick what the different columns of stats mean Contest points = total recorded points since 12:00am est, Nov 1st % Team = % of points contributed to team total PPD = Folder's 24hr avg? Reported PPD = obvious +/- PPD = percentage which relates to what two factors exactly? thanks

Contest points = total recorded points since 12:00am est, Nov 1st % Team = % of points contributed to team total PPD = points per day during the contest period (obviously this will vary wildly at the start depending on when WUs drop but settle down over time) Reported PPD = obvious +/- PPD = percentage actual PPD varies above or below reported PPD

Sorry Steve, I meant literally. I show 543K Contest pts and 463k Pts for Nov. EOC. That was an hour ago just after EOC updated. I have not finished any wu's since. Well maybe one after I posted. Don't get me wrong, I loves me some points. Just wondering is all.

It might be because the contest is going by EST while EoC goes by central, the contest has an extra hour over EOC's time, so if a big WU was retruned in that hour, it could make that difference.

It could be that EOC considers November starting an hour after the contest? EOC is Central Time and the contest started on Eastern Time. Could also be that you submitted a WU that wasn't counted on EOC but is counted here. See if its accounted for in the next EOC update?

Sorry to be off-topic, Is there anyway to set how much uses GPU-wise?? Or is it based off work unit sizes?? I just started a workunit that is making one of my cards reach 120% TDP while the other is where it usually sits right around 80%-90% TDP.. Both are sitting at 89%-93% GPU Usage (Which is fine). I was just wondering if anyone ever ran into this before and/or where the extra strain is coming from?? Thanks GO EASTERN!!!!!!!!

This is something we are currently looking into and may effect approximate 1/2 the folders in the contest.

"Paused folding" .. When doing this you may reduce your PPD for that ONE WU that you have Paused. Wait until you get a New WU/Project/Task to see what your PPD are after the Bios Update.

I guess I'm confused because I'm pulling the numbers straight from Stanford's flat files and pushing them straight to the Google Spreadsheet that we're using. If you want to look at the hourly updates, they're here https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1zUrwFLAhvxaNjatzmShzTMea688axxD9b_1iAdTDEGw/edit#gid=2 Also, you need to remember that the '6pm' hourly update for EOC is an hour behind because they pull the flat files at the top of the hour when the latest gets published at 25 minutes past the hour, so that's going to produce some variation on what you see. But, I'm checking things to make sure my private backup of the data matches the public backup as well to see if there's a systemic thing I can track. d

Yeah, THAT! The time Zone different will cause the numbers not to line up, either.

I have never see a single WU run the same way and this include the Same Project Numbers. Each run a little differently from each other is all and each will run differently between different GPU Models. For the TZC your settings should be set to FULL if set to MED or LOW then you will see even less GPU Usage. GO TZC 2016

Don't sweat it d. I was more or less asking if anyone else had the anomaly. The gap has closed down to 38K after the last EOC update. Go have your supper and then relax and witness the carnage we bring to CPO.
