DutchForce is the most generous person I've met! His generosity goes way back wen I was building a rig for a kid with MD. You're a great man!

Most people probably don't know even half of the things he does behind the scenes that go largely unnoticed.  Once in a while I'm lucky enough to hear about it or see it.  But there are many many others on this team that are also incredibly generous (and often working behind the scenes as well)...

I know the phrase is used around here often...but best folding team on the planet!

Yes true! I didn't mean to discount any other members generosity. I'm just always amazed at this team. I wish I could do more folding for the team but I can't afford to upgrade my card right now.

Fold what you can fold and help however you can help out. That's how I found my home here, and it's how the magic of our team holds us together.

I love you guys!

Hey everyone. Its been awhile since I folded but I'm back now for the contest and for the cause. I will be in the Central timezone. Still working on my ppd. Anyone have an idea what I should be getting on A GTX 680? Things have changed quite a bit in the few years I was gone.

Thanks to incredibly generous donations by Mekhed, AzN-SoLjA, xshurikx, c6vette, species, robbysites and Shifttfreeride we have a fourth 10xx GPU to give away, an EVGA GTX 1070 SC ACX 3.0.  Also, we are more than halfway to adding another card!

Great news! The idea of adding the GPU prize pool was such a great idea. This will add a lot to the fun during the prize distributions.. and hopefully some significant points for team EVGA later on!

This is pretty exciting to help our team arm up more power

ipkha
I'm hoping EVGA donates some more shirt and lanyard combos into the prize pool.

I wish wrinvert was still with us, he had several EVGA bucks saved for shirts n such to donate during this time. I happened to be a lucky winner of an EVGA shirt from him.

troy8d
Chris21010
so, only 1070's?

Certainly can be changed if people would prefer other cards, however, the 1070 is currently one of the best PPD/$ cards.

If you won, I'm sure you can add the extra $ to get to the next model desired without impacting having more cards for others to win as well.
I personally have my sights on the 1070 FTW to retire my 560Ti

Look HERE for an approximate PPD, It's not far off depending on WU you receive.

According to this, you should be getting a little over 100k PPD.

I under-reported my estimated PPD  when registering so I hope that doesn't make too too much of a difference.

I did as well (well before my 1060 got 'broke in' if you will), wouldn't think it would, but will make for a nice surprise I bet lol

Glad to see all the old folders coming back, the generosity of other members ponying up for prizes continues to amaze me too.  Truly the best team around right here.

If you would like to correct your estimates, simply make a second entry with the new estimate and that will be the one used.

Upgrading my 770 Classified to a 1070 FTW this week because of this. It was a good excuse to finally make the jump.

Glad to have you aboard!   I am itching to do the same, but will have to check the available funds at the end of the month to see if I can make it happen for the contest.

I've got a 980 TI in route, it will be replacing a 670.   I'll update my estimate once I've gotten a few WU complete.

so this is my folding set up now.  PCIE 2.0 and base clocks.

980 TI

is 900,000 ppd a good estimate?

Well if it helps any......I pulled a 560Ti out of and old rig to check to see if a P55 FTW board would support 3 GPUs. It worked and brought back memories of 3 rigs folding sounding like living at the end of a runway!! Also, much to my surprise it still folded quite well. Not a heavy hitter like all these kids on my lawn with the 10xx series, but I was impressed!!

Well, started up the old computing rig.  Didn't catch fire, so that is a start.  Had some driver issues when starting the [link=mailto:F@H]F@H[/link] program, but managed to get it started.  Just got to wait and see what PPD it will now produce these days.

I missed this post by tank1023 and troy8d, but I agree and must say those two posts could not be more correct and appreciated!!
This team has several really generous members, but he tops the list!
