Getting current PPD. Lost the 780i rig, dead mobo i think, so the 770s are boxed up. Will be signed up for CST once i get current output.

What socket board ?

lga775

Well, I don't have one of those. 😒

i think i found a home for them if i get time to get everything transplanted. I built my mom a rig out of old junk i had laying around a while back but need to transplant the pair of 770s and the PSU out of the 780i rig into her PC and make sure she can still use it while the TZC is going on. wouldn't be much of a problem if i wasn't gone all week long for work.

I should say, there's an eVGA FAH group/page on Facebook that hasn't been used hardly at all in a while.  Could dust that off and see what happens?

I haven't folded in years. Is this pretty much like mining? Killed a 7970 with that even though under water and never above 42C :-( lol System is currently down from my gpu loop pump blowing up. Waiting on the new one to arrive to redo my loops into a single loop.

Yes its like mining but for a purpose. You are not doing meaningless hashing but instead simulating protein folding for science.

G'day Folding Folks. I'm close to finishing my new rig but I'm not sure it will be up and running for this years fun. It's the only machine I have with the potential of folding atm but in any case, it will be up and running soon, and BadBertie will be back!
Hopefully I will make it as a last minute entry, fingers crossed.

Central has been adding some muscle to the competition and closing the gap...

Take away the large additions to East from chris2010 and Cool GTX and the contest looks very different - a shrinking margin between East and Central, but the MOP alliance would hold a slight lead over everyone!

After testing today on my new rig I found a few things about the Beta Version of the Client Software.
The Clock Settings I used on the Beta Version caused work units to fail on the Current Client Version.

Not sure why but my cards run 10C-12C Hotter on the Beta Client Version with the same clock settings on the Current Client Version.
I have down clocked my cards about 20MHz but I still have then at 2012-2025MHz so they are at least over the 2000MHz Marker I was shooting for these new cards.

Other Notes
If you add a new Graphics Card Uninstall the Client Software *This applies to the current version as well.

So with that being said will EVGA warranty cards if they get nuked?

My 1080 -v- 980 info, in the long run it all depends on what Project Number you get and from what Core.

Now you tell me.

Which 1080 did you add ?

Might explain why when I moved the EVGA 1080 FE over to the old trusty X58 Rig with the 980SC and pulled the 670SC, it just plain acted weird.

Been ignoring the X58 mostly; as both rigs with the old/ new Titan X where getting all the love.

Today out of pure desperation, I uninstalled the client software -- was trying the beta as an upgrade also, previously.

So, just maybe it will settle down and put out some nice PPD.

i had a brand new 1070 and it blew smoke and they took the RMA no questions asked. they are giving away EVGA bucks for F@H so it is safe to assume that they think it is not harmful to the GPU.

Are they reg 980s or ti 980s . If they are reg then a TI 980 should fold right with a 1080 I would think if not a little better .

Just wondering thinking on buying a new set of card and B stock ti 980 is a lot cheaper then 1080s

Hehe bcavnaugh  I upgraded a long time a go to 2 770 hydros but killed one . I put a 560 in to run stuff on so can fold on the 770 .If I had air coolers for th 580s I would put them in the case to .
Only bad thing is just bought a bigger boat and got a year to pay for it , what do I need a 19 footer ,25 footer and a 28 foot boat for . I think Friday I'll order 2 980ti then when and if they come out with hydro 1070s/1080s I'll get 2 of them I hate fans.

There seems to be a correlation between the occurrence of a folding contest and the amount of time I spend on newegg...

Sorry I was going by your .

Time for me to do a new Re-install of the Graphics Drivers and then reinstall the Beta Version to see if the Temps go back up.
Dropping from a High of 86C down to a High of 79C is a reason to be a little cautious about this Beta Version.
Will Post back my finding.
