Ok, well, we could still try to break the monthly folding record in January. Could be the next folding challenge and it is far enough away to get the word out. Plus some folks will have nice new Christmas presents to fold on.

I'm all for a 'let's break 6 BILLION points in a month' January, if you all are! Spread the word! Make some noise! I'll provide the stats if you all are willing to burn some electrons with me!!

Just thinking out loud, remember the chimp challenge? It got crazy because no one could stand up to the giant EVGA
Now there are two other teams that have shone that they can out produce us.
Maybe it is time to get the big 3 have a little friendly chalange.
If other small teams want to join forces it is up to them to form a team. NO handy-caps or any other shenanigans .

Quick contest question: Every 2nd Tuesday of each month, Microsoft sends a scheduled Windows 10 update that usually requires a restart. Is there a TZC requirement to keep all rigs online during the update (in other words, WU production would be briefly halted for a couple minutes after update installation)?

Fired up two more rigs, both AMD APU's/GPU's: One rig has an old Trinity APU (disabled) with a discreet R7 360 onboard; the other one is an A10 7860K with a discreet R7 370. Won't be able to keep them all running for the next 27 days, though. Even with both rigs having EVGA 650W Platinum PS's, that would amount to an additional $60 for all three machines on the electric bill.

Maybe I'll shoot for double production this month -- let it snow!

Of course not, who would know if you shut down to reboot?
If you want to stop those updates and update just when you want to, this works.

Windows 10 is not an Area that i'm yet ready to venture, with 100 fixes to do here and here with new things and apps, I'm more than Happy To stay in my Windows 7 Bunker as long as my Haswell cpu last. already have enought problem on bro computer with it. By the time my CPU is too slow/break, Windows 10 will have ironed out ( I hope ) and DX 12 to be optimised.

I don't like to see anyone in particular pointed out, so in protest, I'm firing up another rig or 2 or 3.

Well smack it upside the GPU!!!!! With the 8 folks we are missing we are down 2,255,000 PPD So someone on this team CPO needs to step up the the plate and order a few Titans to make up for it!!!! (I can't I'm tapped out, not in my pay grade anyway)

EDIT:
After actually looking at the PPD production between the teams................we need a miracle!!! CPO under producing my over 2 mil, EM over producing by 7 mil. But HEY we are getting things done!!!!

Unless someone has a couple dozen titans to start up....we would need a miracle to catch up to EM.  There was like a 9m PPD difference this morning when I looked >.>.  But there's still at least 6 days before they finish.....

I like this idea, it should still be cool enough for the people that have to hang it up due to heat.

Well most certainly, seeing how Pentium-cillin is no longer available. He'll have to use a topical application of TIM to help heal them, and plenty of canned air and rest to recover.

Totally agree! If my memory is correct - last year everyone had to wait on East as we struggled to finish. Now look.
