WOW !!!!!! , we are down 11 folders (with some heavy hitters in there too) compared to the 4 EM has as "no shows" I guess at this point if I can bring some extra hardware into the equation on the weekends it won't make a dent..... Oh well, FOLD ON TO THE FINISH!!!!!

BadBertie is up and running and triharder is sitting on a pile of hardware that could fold 5x his estimated PPD if he gets it up and running...ummm, I mean give up now - there is no hoap!  EM FTW!!

Changed my strategy

You guys have too many under producers.  You're 10% below your estimated PPD.

I have fired up my daughter's PC with a GTX970, so that should help a little.  And I have also send a PM to driscoll42 yesterday, because I think he has problems (maybe NVidia drivers issue) or is not aware that the contest has started.

Looking at the estimated vs actual ppd, there are some serious understatement for some folders, but a small amount of overstatement as well.

My 970 churned out 11 work units as if this morning around 8am. The 1080 turned out almost 3 times as many at 32. This Pascal generation is way better than previous generations. There wasn't as much gap between my 970 and 760 when they were the combo I used.

I warned that would turn my 980ti's on. My box 070 was pumping out 600k ppd, which was my main projection. I probably won't be able to leave all 3 cards running the entire month though. I am currently at 1.8m ppd

i honestly do not like how there are some who are overproducing their estimated PPD by 4-10 times. i can understand 2 and maybe 3 times but 4 and more is kinda bad.

After the challenge, my 1070 will have definitly deserved the Thermal pads from EVGA, learnt about the ACX 3.0 thermals yesterday. Not too worried as for mine since i have 2 intake, both, pushing air from Low to high, ordering a Tube of MX4 soon.

Yeah , didnt thought about how much of an inpact Unplugging my monitor from the GPU would have affected my PPD that much. definitly should have did a quick day test before.

Newsflash!  The first 2 days of the contest were a calibration run to determine the true PPD of all contestants.  The result shows a difference of 10M PPD between the coalitions.  The teams will now be rebalanced as follows to make a closer race:

EP (Eastern + Pacific): 52.4M PPD
CMO (Central, Mountain, Other): 54.8M PPD

This unofficial message brought to you by Punchy's evil twin.

Before anyone gets too fired up, if you didn't notice the "unofficial" message at the bottom of my last post, please note that neither I nor my evil twin have anything to do with the contest rules (although I do help with prize distribution).

Hey, all. Up here in the Northern Denver suburb of Lafayette, CO, this past October has tied with two other years as the second-most warmest month on record according to the NWS. I've kept my AC off except when it gets >80 degrees F, but have only used AC for about 5 days.

If the weather keeps up like this or a tad cooler, I may only have to rely on a couple PCs to warm the place up without using the HVAC system ... sweet, since my energy bill won't be affected as much! Just in time for the TZC!

Lafayette that is really a suburb of Boulder
But we Still Welcome you, SW Corner Denver Metro (Littleton)
Really Glad Our Temps Dropped this week.

You two are pretty high up there. I am at sea level in the North East part of Florida (Jacksonville) where it is supposed to get cold. (not like Denver) It appears we are not going to have a winter.

Well they are in Co. aren't they... Yeah the mile high city, that's it, that's what I meant.

Wondering how long it would take for someone to catch that. It was teed up saying "hit me"

Oh and I thought you were talking about the Other High

I would set then to Finish let them complete and then replace the Ram, Ram is not really needed all that much.
Your PPD/Credit may drop when you Pause.

When I got up this morning (at about 4:30), I got a work item that was worth somewhere between 113-120K points, but that would take 8 1/2 hrs to finish.  Luckily I'm going to be out most of the night after work so gaming won't interrupt anything.   This though is why I pegged my PPD est at 200K (because its varried wildly over the past 7 days, from 180K to a little over 380K)

PC Build (early 2009 - gaming only)
Antec Twelve Hundred - Win10 x64
eVGA X58 SLI - Core i7 920 (bumped to 2.80GHz) - 6GB DDR3-1066
WD Black 640GB/7200RPM - Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD

Asus GTX 1060 OC (3GB) - HT Omega Striker 7.1 - Asus VH222H 21.5"

Workhorse (gen. purpose)
Mid-2011 Mac Mini (2.3GHz i5) - Dell S2715H 27"
