I got hit with a new WU. I did not get the number, but I am using a 1080 FTW. I got 130k for 14 hours of gpu use was taking my PPD down to 200K while working on it.

Do No look at the Time under ETA until you have at least completed 10%, what was the Percent Completed when you reviewed the above task.

This was the points and time it took after it was done, I don't dump WU's

Hey, all. Up here in the Northern Denver suburb of Lafayette, CO, this past October has tied with two other years as the second-most warmest month on record according to the NWS. I've kept my AC off except when it gets >80 degrees F, but have only used AC for about 5 days.

If the weather keeps up like this or a tad cooler, I may only have to rely on a couple PCs to warm the place up without using the HVAC system ... sweet, since my energy bill won't be affected as much! Just in time for the TZC!

Lafayette that is really a suburb of Boulder
But we Still Welcome you, SW Corner Denver Metro (Littleton)
Really Glad Our Temps Dropped this week.

You two are pretty high up there. I am at sea level in the North East part of Florida (Jacksonville) where it is supposed to get cold. (not like Denver) It appears we are not going to have a winter.

Well they are in Co. aren't they... Yeah the mile high city, that's it, that's what I meant.

Wondering how long it would take for someone to catch that. It was teed up saying "hit me"

Currently in Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré (Qc, Canada ) its 50°F, My Thermometer is creeping down slowly, got as low as 35°F, Not looking too much forward to the average -13°F and 12ft Snow accumulation of the winter.

I am not getting a steady supply of SMP WUs for some reason.
Anyone else seeing this?

Not running, sorry.
But I was going to Post that I have not seen one error on getting GPU Tasks.
I was getting at least 3 Errors a Day last week on GPU Tasks.

WOW! I have not had a single Task take more than 7 Hours on my GTX 1080 Reference Cards.
I have a new one at 5% saying 9.5 09:07:50 hours Foldit-2-EVGA-GTX 1080 Slot 00 but I bet it drops down.

WOW !!!!!! , we are down 11 folders (with some heavy hitters in there too) compared to the 4 EM has as "no shows" I guess at this point if I can bring some extra hardware into the equation on the weekends it won't make a dent..... Oh well, FOLD ON TO THE FINISH!!!!!

about 10 days to go, if preliminary calculations are correct. If you have the power, go ahead and use it? @Howdy2u2

I think the rules are that you need to fold at least 400k points to qualify for the Challenge. Nit picking on how late a start to accept as the rules do state that you must fold the entirety of the challenge.

I have "extra" power but I will not run it full time. Only when I am home will it run....... Probably ghetto my 970s in a case this weekend and run them too, pending if I have to work or not. If I had enough LAN cables I'd even fire up the 460s 560s and the 480s My electric company claims I am already 71% less efficient than my neighbors........... I suppose with all that running I could try for 110%!!!!!!!!

AAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNDDDDDDDDDDDDD to top it all off there is a thunderstorm beating up my area............usually my power will flicker if a cricket farts. So I might be having a lot of restarts. So far so good and keeping my fingers crossed all goes well!!!!!!

I just fired up my rig today so I should be putting up some points soon. Around 650K PPD but I can only fold during daytime hours so it's realistically ~300K.

I made it, but it ain't pretty. More like 'fast n dirty' with its guts hanging out and only half the fans hooked up.
Nevermind. Once TZC is over I can finish it off.

What, no duct tape handy?
You have to have 2 things in the house at all times.
Duct tape and WD40

If it moves and it is not supposed to move: Duct tape.
If it does not move and it should move: WD40

Get a UPS and that will help get you more points.

If you use a computer at night, check out f.lux
Research: https://justgetflux.com/research.html
Download: https://www.justgetflux.com/
This reduces how blue (6500k) the screen is and looks a LOT better once you get used to it - the getting used to may take up to a week!
Your screen will be "more orange" at night but it's for the best. In about 15 minutes your eyes won't even notice and I think it will look much better.

Haha, the damage was a little more severe than that. Some of those blades ended up in way too many little pieces. Besides, I could only fold for about 4 hours at a time before heat would cause memory errors and hard system locks, even under full fan speed. Water definitely helps a lot :P
