What's pathetic? The comparison or Motor Trends reviews? Man both have really nice interiors though.

    Are you serious?

Chevrolet hasn't tried to alter anything since the Camaro was re-introduced back in 2010. You know, After getting spanked for 8 years by the termi?

Anyways, I really love the new 2016 Camaro, It's super light and powerful! Yes, The days of calling the Camaro pigs are gone :( Now instead of smoking Camaro's in V6 Mustangs, We'll need our GT500's to do that haha jk jk

But anyways, I applaud them for what they did, I'll probably test drive one  when they begin to show up at the dealers.

Edit: When I test drove the 2014 Camaro before I got my 2013 mustang, I felt the SS was slow and cramped. I hope even though now it's faster, That it will be at least a bit more comfortable to be in. I don't see how that'd be possible if they decreased in weight though, Which means it's probably even less space in there lol.

Also, I heard 2017 will be a good year for us, Let's see what Ford has planned!

What's so pathetic about the LS making the same torque numbers as horsepower? Compare the same, and you have more weight to move.

The problem I personally find with the Camaro is the interior feels cramped for the size of the car, outward visibility is terrible.....like the worst of any car I have ever been in. Wind noise at highway speed is also bad...at least in the 2014 SS I drove for 2 days. The drivetrain and performance is awesome, no question.....but that doesn't make up for the shortcomings I find too much to live with for the long haul.

Yes I know, I drove the 2014 and this is the 2016. However, reading the article it seems visibility and wind noise are still issues.

What is really pathetic is the Camaro 376 CID vs Mustand 302 CID and can only get 455HP vs 435HP
74 cubes more and only 20HP.
    Now that's pathetic.

Oh wow, I didn't notice that. I wonder how bad the same car would smash the camero if you stroked it out to 376 ;D.

To be honest that is not a fair statement. It is not always 9,000$ less.
In fact the Mustang cost less to buy (base price). The Mustang cost more in this case because it was "as tested"
They picked one up with more options. Mustang price is on the right.

It's most certainly a fair statement. It cost almost $9,000 less and beat it, even without the Camaro's magnetic suspension.

Plus the Camaro is better looking.

My only question is why does a Mustang GT weigh 3800 lbs??? I mean they're both porkers but dang. It's not a surprise that the Camaro wins in terms of performance but it's still hard to drive when you're looking through tank slits for windows.

Yeah I wish the Mustang was 200 lbs lighter. Neigher is a light car by any means. Both would suck as track day cars as they will both chew through tires because of their weight.

I would rather put Trefeo's and a turbo kit on an FR-S and you end up with a <2,800 lb. car with 350 rwp that will be a track star.

A 3500 lb car or heavier is a terrible starting point for a racetrack car.....you will just keep blowing the tires off the thing.

This has literally been the most irrelevant argument that Honda owners have brainwashed Mustang drivers minds, you're literally measuring empty space, literally just air.

You could look at the fact that while the 5.0 sits with less cubic inches, it requires three additional camshafts, triple the volumetric occupancy, double the valves and weighs almost a fifth more than what Mustang nutswingers deem as a "dinosaur design" in that of an OHC engine...  Should be easy then, so be honest here, what is "really pathetic?"

Um...that is what the article said. I guess you have selective reading lol.

Speaking of "Selective Reading..." did you by chance read any of the article at all?  You're literally pushing minor points that they made which followed by "this is the way it should be," as deal breakers by your fanboyistic, opinionated views.

But hey when you can't bite, you might as well keep barking, right?

From what performance numbers have been released and lack of published public testing, it has been speculation that with even the 1SS beating the Mustang GT so bad, it is possible that it would be compared with the GT350 and the 2SS with the GT350R while this new heavily camo'ed concept could be a shot at the GT500.

Well regardless if you do buy a muscle car its not comfortable whatsoever. Talk about a rough ride with a lot of road noise. Ha O yeah there is not a lot of comfort when you get pulled over a lot either.

AS a guy who has owned several terminators and never owned a chevrolet, the Camaro looks pretty good this year.

Not a fan of how it looks though, but I'm not a fan to how the new mustangs look.

Exactly...  These nutswingers do nothing but praise performance in other threads and all of the sudden change their tone when the competition offers a much better performer for much less.

The drivetrain and performance is awesome, no question....

No question about the performance. It is superior to the Mustang GT period in terms of acceleration, braking, cornering etc.

It isn't all or nothing....because one is better doesn't make the other bad. "rotfl it's literally so pathetic" sounds more juvenile fanboyish rehtoric than anything.

Many will give up all out performance for some comfort and the ability to hang their arm out the window while still having a great performing car any day.
