PrimeGrid has been announced as the 3rd discipline. (Cross Country) No specific sub-project named though.

Remember this starts Greenwich time, 8PM Eastern USA time 6/04/2016 OK off we go. Almost, not getting WUs from the starting project. CSG So, POGS starts in just under 24 hours, downloading POGS work to bunker so at least my systems are crunching. Download a day and a half worth of work and then turn off the network communication under activity. Turn the work in after 8pm tomorrow night.

So do I then take my account out on the POGS site? Pogs should not have used the same name "BOINC Pentathlon Challenge"

I am going to pull out, I just signed too. EDIT: To be clear, out of the optional pogs challenge. I dropped over 700 WUs but most are waiting for the wing man to do so I can get some credit.

What do we do with primegrid? The GFN give the most points, but only if they double checked by the wingman. Maybe if we all agree to do GFN17 or SGS so we can double check each other... Pick one sub-project to pick on. Short sweet and as many as we can. I have seen times when I have hundreds of WUs sitting waiting for a double-checker. Seen one GFN 22 sit for two or three weeks waiting. I'll do GFN if we all agree on it. Ideas??

The 4th project of the BOINC Pentathlon in the discipline Swimming is: Universe@home (http://universeathome.pl/universe/)All credits granted between 12 Jun 2016, 0.00 (UTC) and 19 Jun 2016, 0.00 (UTC) will be taken into the BOINC Pentathlon validation. As for PrimeGrid, I'm all for choosing what we think is the best subproject with short tasks, preferably GPU based since all other project appear to be CPU only. And I finally got some CitizenScienceGrid tasks!

Sorry, wish I knew more about that. Are you trying to customize each sub-project with multiple amd cards? Opolis

The best strategy for me would be short PG tasks on the GPU. PPS sieve take about 10 minutes and are worth 3371 points. 2 tasks at a time can be run on most cards. A single 970 can do almost a million a day. robbysites Do I need to run everything on Citizen Science Grid or split it with POGs? I am getting Work Units from both. rs
We are behind in CSG by no fault of our own, and the tasks could run dry again. At this point I'm doing both.

Thanks for the answers Yodap! Whatever we do let's agree on a strategy and run with it. I think if we are all on the same page working together we will kick some butt. I'm all in with using some GPU in Primegrid as I have plenty of GPU (but that's just me) however if everyone wants to stick with CPU intense projects I am in with that too.

I haven't compared points as I only have CPUs, but from discussions I have read in the past, won't GPUs outperform CPUs by a huge margin (like 10x or more)? If that is true, it seems that we should keep our CPUs on CSG and POGS whilst using all the GPU power we have to attack PG.
