I've had to cut back one video card for folding for now. I am not 100% certain that the battery was the cause of the power issues the other night, but it's happened 2x more and I really don't want to push things until I have a higher wattage power setup.  Sadly, we just don't have the money at the moment to fix that.  So, my points will drop a bit, but it means stability for the duration.

Got that spot back, for now at least.
Also, that unit completed just fine, no bad states.

Since it directly relates to this challenge, what driver seems to be throwing the least amount of errors? Daily I am losing more and more points.. At this rate, I am going to get someone to shut my computer down unless I can provide the roommate a very specific driver to load and let the system function better. I'm not looking to spend $500 in electricity for the lowest possible points because Stanford refuses to fix this.

Good deal. I have all of the drivers saved, so it should be as easy as pausing the work unit, load new drivers, unpause the work unit.

I am still averaging one per day using 355.82 all on Core x21. The last one found bad data at 24%, 50% and finally kicked the bucket at 87%. You don't even want to know what I am thinking right now.

I will give 355 a try. I think I have both downloaded. I don't want to confuse him any more than I have to. He is fully computer illiterate.

Oh yeah, I forgot you have a surrogate Folder manning the battle stations for you right now. I wouldn't count on any help from Stanford. They're all busy smiling for the cameras with outstretched hands accepting that donation money for continuing research thanks to recent discoveries made by the Folding at Home community.

I got my copy today but can't play until after the competition. I couldn't afford the 'Season Pass' yet. Maybe next time there is a sale.

Yeah, a year behind me... I'm actually borderline scared since I don't upgrade often.

Oh well, 2 980s might end up being one top end Pascal depending on how they do there, right?

I'm not real anxious about putting some stubby looking video board in my PC no matter how well it performs. I guess that's just me. I want a manly looking brute of a video board staring at me from inside my case. LOL

There are still Win 10 bugs in 7.4.4, and it'll probably require a program update rather than a driver update to fix. There's a very specific one with Win 10, NVIDIA drivers, and the TDR handling that's supposed to get fixed with the next fah release. No idea when that will be though.

I will be watching my ppd like a hawk now. 355 was just reloaded onto my PC for the time being.

If theythey update FAH, that would great. I doubt we see it anytime soon though. Too much free labor to worry about something like that, until Stanford realizes they aren't getting many returns due to Win 10 being widely implemented.

Just info for you all, after the 40+ WU failures, I have had non fail for the last full day.

Am running 353.06 on my 5x 970's, 2x 770's and 2x 760's,
For the 760's I had to reduce the memory clock by 100Mhz, and not had any fail.

Points wise, amazing PPD by everyone, great stuff. Fold on...to 3million for the month?????????

Even at reduced production levels for the rest of the contest, I know I'll be leaving my previous best monthly record clubbed like a baby seal . . .

And seeing that first billion for the month cleared in 10 days? C'mon! How sweet is that??

It's been raining here in SE Pennsylvania. I was worried about lightning last night but it was a bad light bulb burning out in my apartment's back entrance.

I cut back to one video board and then I got stuck with a Project 9704 right off the bat. So far there are no bad data warnings but I'm keeping an eye on it.

The real test will be the last 10 days of the month when the contest has ended and the bucks folders are gone.  If our goal is the 3 billion points you suggested, I'm not sure if we have built enough of a cushion to weather that drop in production.

You know what,  I had an idea..... in the spirit of EVGA generosity...

If all of the MOP team keep folding to the end of the month, with their predicted or better PPD....
I will give a donation via PayPal to each MOP member, $10US each....

What do you think MOP???? Up for the challenge??
