Hey scarlett, do you run HFM? If so you can see what units you have run and info,ect.

HFM? I haven't run that before and not sure what it is honestly.

I need to get an eye on my PC, as it seems to be failing a LOT of work units or something.. I went from 1.46m down to 1.28 right now, and keep getting lower and lower daily..

I have no clue what is going on, but at least the system is still functioning, I guess.

ChristianVirtual there is a cure for those running 980's that are running into that problem on Windows rigs unfortunately there is no cure for those that are running Linux. Unless someone like tear makes us one. This is a post I made over at FF that addresses the problem on 980's it is a NVidia problem not a core 21 problem.

This is not a core21 problem it is a Nvidia problem that affects the upper end Maxwells mainly GTX 980's and some of the 970's, It may also affect 980 TI's but I do not know that since I do not have a 980 TI to test. I have a feeling Nvidia knows about it since they took steps to reduce the problem. When you run compute software on the Maxwells it defaults to P2 state which has the same core clock but has a reduced memory speed it gets lowered from 7000Mhz to 6000Mhz no other generation of Nvidia GPU's does this that I know of.

Anyway I started having a lot of the bad states on my GPU's both in Windows and Linux with this series of WU's and some others and I started testing things out with the help of a few others from here in the forum. And one of the thing's I did was lower the Memory speed using Nvidia Inspector in P2 state a little. The first adjustment was 300Mhz and the errors stopped completely and I was able to achieve a higher stable OC. I ended up between 5750Mhz and 5755Mhz on all 3 of the cards.

The part you are not going to like is that there is no way at this time to lower the P2 state memory speeds in Linux. I have put in a request for help over at the Nvidia Developers forum so hopefully they will enable that ability in x server soon. But as of yet nobody has replied to the post but it is Sunday. Until then I would recommend putting the 980 in a Windows box, which I know is slower but in the long run it will pay off, I have moved 3 of mine from Linux to Windows. Or you can yell at Nvidia for selling us a GPU with what I am thinking is either faulty memory or faulty memory controller, most likely the latter.

Which WU? I had two Core x21 Project 9626 and they both failed on me.

They were all 9704's, I had a fourth one fail on me little while ago too.
 
I'm on the 358.87 drivers atm. I don't think I've gotten any bad wu's with 353.49 though so I might switch back to it tomorrow.

I really did not think that I would see you on My 6.
Did you take a rig down to install that Titan Z?

No still running the same rigs and equipment that I started out with, I did add CPU folding to two of my computers.
Thinking about doing the same to my 3rd one.

I see,
I cannot add any CPU's to my 980 Hybrid 780 and AMD Rigs do to pulling to many Watts for my UPS Units to handle.
I have not ran CPU for Folding since the BigAdv Days. I will add 6 Threads on my X99 Rigs to see if they run ok.
On my 980HC or X99 Rig I have two Power Supplies install for the Computer Less the GPU's and one for the GPU's only and each are on their own UPS.
 
 I added 8 Threads Foldit-4-EVGA-GTX 980HC Slot 00 looks ok for now, only pulling 500 Watts so I am fine;
That is as long as my circuit breaker or panel does not melt down.
