This is the oldest pc I have and do all of my internet stuff on. When I use it a lot like the last couple of days on the net and folding it blue screens if not rebooted every couple of days.
I can tell when it is close to doing that as it gets kind of slow and wants to stall when loading pages. So I pause folding then quite folding and reboot, after that it's all good for a while.
Just need to upgrade this old pc.

Picking up some steam now, just under 100K. I underestimated my PPD just a bit...
Currently I'm running 353.49 and I haven't had an issue yet, well, other than random reboots (I think it's my mobo). No bad WU's yet nor trouble getting them, though I'm only getting core 17's & 18's.
358.50 ran just as good if not better.

I love Folding on my 980s too. The difference from trying to fold on a pair of GTX-680 is like night and day.

I went from a single 570 to a 970, then added a 970 then went to two 980s. Even the difference between the 970s to the 980s is pretty good.

I love Folding on my 980s too. The difference from trying to fold on a pair of GTX-680 is like night and day.
I went from a single 570 to a 970, then added a 970 then went to two 980s. Even the difference between the 970s to the 980s is pretty good.
I started folding on my GTX 295 and quit as soon as I took a look and saw that the temps were running at 99C on the stock cooler lol. After that I picked up a 580 and have been addicted ever since. I've had the 580, 680, 750ti, 780,780ti, 970, 980, and the 980ti all folding at some point, and to see the improvements made over each generation has been really cool. I just hope that Stanford is able to continue to taking advantage of the new hardware that comes out without alienating the older ones. Every little bit helps to find a cure. I sure hope that Pascal brings more performance on a much lower power budget so that I can continue to upgrade. My girlfriend might be looking forward to it more though, as I know she is tired of asking permission to use the hair dryer or the microwave

I really hope I don't get any issues. Glanced after the "Leading Central" post.. I am leading Eastern and really wish I still had my 780ti's going right now. All 4 of them were good for 1m, which is atrocious when comparing to 980's getting 1.5m with less power.

Oops, I forgot you were Eastern too. Anyway, Stanford is stiffing me with only one attempt to recover from a bad state detected. I have had bad state detected warnings before and there were at least three attempts to recover... until today!!!

If I had the money to outfit the remaining 3 pcs with 970s, I would, but that's just not currently in the works. We're trying to upgrade 3 of the pcs to more power sipping but more powerful CPU/Mobo combos first.
My monthly total this month is going to be freaking AMAZING, however. Also, I think we're going to possibly post as high as 114-115 million points as a team today, based on some napkin math. I'm SO freaking proud of our team!!
Oh, and EST, we're slowly closing on those MOPs. *grins* Buckle down, and warm up those Pimp Hands to make sure they REMEMBER our names when we go cruising by!

A most excellent post. I approve. Luckily for me my gaming desktop with it's 770 only outputs a measly 115k ppd (even my laptop with it's 980 is easily doing 200K+), so diverting some time for gaming isn't too bad. Though I guess I could schedule myself for more flights and spend some more time with the ladyfriend too...

My pc with the TitanX cards in it is set to finish the WUs as the other Titan X has show up. Will shut it down ans install the new GPU as soon as I can then put it back to work.
