I should get an idea today what to put in
I figure on 150k PPD...maybe more 
cleaning out one rig today(Dust bunnies and Dirty rad) and putting another GPU in

It will be nice to eliminate a few people on my six and make it a little harder for a few to pass me

I just finished cleaning out my computer today myself. Dust plus humidity plus not having done it in a few months wanting to keep available to Madrias while he had no internet so I didn't miss if he came on, it was quite a job.
I did as I'd planned, when Madrias got internet again I'd clean my computer, coincidentally I had to turn off because of repair work the electricity company was doing in the area, and there was a big thunderstorm here last night, there was a clap of thunder at midnight that hurt my ears and shook the house.
 
So look out Mad and I are on the same team this year ready to heckle and trash talk and ready to push for 1st.

Working on restabilization, but I should be able to rock the SR-2 at full speed.  Push comes to shove, I'll drag it down from 3700 to something more sane.

Well!! Im prepared as I'll ever be

New GPU in (3-way SLI- rig1) and new i7 rig OC'd to 4.2
cleaned out some dust bunnies
(gpu temps look fine -60c or lower)...

Every time I tried putting my folding GPUs in SLI, they seemed to be only recognized as one card (somewhat makes sense for all intents & purposes) and I'd get about half of the expected PPD.  So for months now, I've taken the ribbon connector off (for slightly better air flow )  Has something changed since then, ie. drivers, that allow an SLI setup pummel through a single WU at two-, three- or four-fold speed instead of 2/3/4 WUs in parallel?
 
OMG I envy your bravery to put your cards so far below zero!  I'm still weary of enclosing my computer (except hard drives of course) inside a running deep freezer.  Must have dehumidifier handy nearby if defrosting the rig. Heh heh!

LOL.... that would be 60c ...not cryo'd 
they are running cool tho
PDD numbers will be a little lower than I like them for the day
forgot to set the M$ update on the new install on rig 2 - to manual...so the computer shut down and rebooted -
and I don't have FAH set to auto-restart
 
Still MY PPD should reach some new heights...luv to make top 20 again
 
nothing has changed on the drivers - mine are working fine

EW!  SR-2 grabbed one of those huge 8 hour units in my testing phase.  Not cool when I'm trying to both fold and catch up on gaming before the contest.

First timer and didnt see it or missed it in the rules.
I am hopeing over the event since everyone knows how points can move up and down day to day for something as simple as your WU's completeing at 12:01.... thanks

PPD is points per day.  Whatever you think you can do in a day, that's what you put in.  Get an average of, say, 2 or 3 days, that'll do.

Yes i know what PPD are. but will they be calualted per round? say there is 7 days in a round, you take what was produced in that 7 days as a total diveded by 7 to get the avg PPD. say 900k divided by 7 for 128571 PPD average, this would be per round
 
Or every day the totals are brought in, say i get 110k today and that falls short but tomorrow i get 130k and that is above. The average would be 120k which is my target. But i would be penalized for the 110k day and not the 130k day. This would be a daily total calculation.

Hi. I have registered.
I do not know what my rig will produce. It's new.
I will probably run 2 or more rigs if i can.
I will get the new rig set up for folding, in the next 4 days i have off, to insure there are no issues and stability.

What happens is.... if your whole team is below the threshold - you points will count fully
if your team is above your team points above the threshold will count partially
if you go up and down  the low days should provide those counted earlier (when you above ) to be counter more fully
 
at least that's what it was last year - it calculated on the length of the round that has occurred to that point
so as you go along it keeps recalculating based on the entire team numbers

Hopefully you're not downwind of me.  Everyone downwind of here gets caught in a heatwave during contests.

Are you suggesting that there is some other reason we shouldn't be downwind?     LOL
 
it's cold here and snowing(snow warnings)..Heat I can handle...unless you're saying you'll set all of North America Ablaze
no heatwave you can produce could get that far north or get rid of the chill here
