how are teams being picked or do we just choose who we want to fold with? i would like to join up with RJbelans just because its not madrias's team and rj and i had a fun talk last contest.

Last year - any selection that was done was not posted on the web - other than the first draftee
So I don't rightly know how troy handled it. -the teams are to be balanced so (same approx PPD) - people may not go where they want

I think Troy will try to let original team members be on the same teams again and work on balancing it out from there again. Always nice to have basically the same teams competing each time.

After cleaning out a TON of dust this weekend, and cleaning up my wiring job, the pc is running quite well, tho it really is need of a better case. You'll be happy to know that your graciously gifted 570 is still kicking it strong for the Pimp side of the force! Also, there's more than enough room for returning Pimps . . . *grin*

Signed up. Hoping to get back in with my Pimpin' Crew. Did a flat-out, uninterrupted trial run earlier this month and got the avg PPD and WU count on my setup. If there is a new product release this month or I get bored, there may be another GPU added in. Time to put crunching on pause and get this ball rollin'

Want to participate in this event (enjoyed the fun during the Time Zone Challenge!) but I'm sure the parents would kill me if I ran f@h for a month straight. Even though my 2nd rig only uses 300w of power folding smp-12 somehow we still get charged a butt load from PG&E(now that I have 2 PCs its even worse), I love their tier systems...makes me cry. Sure it being winter and using the heater doesn't help either lol. I'll see if $40-$60 would be enough to persuade them.

I just got my HP cloud stuff set up.... waiting on the points to come in so I can see what it's looking like as far as PPD, but I'm thinking it'll be about 9k.... is it possible to adjust my estimates or would I have to register again and request for the old one to be deleted? I want to say add in 18k for hpcs and 6 wu's but I want to see for sure what it looks like over a few days....

As the stats runner, I just want to remind folks of the importance of making sure you get your Folding name put in EXACTLY as it shows on your FAH stats page. Usually I'm having to correct for capital letters, but the less time I have to spend hunting down mistyped names, the better.

Captains: if there are any changes or additions to your team's page please let me know as soon as possible.
Also with 1 week left in the sign up period, you've got get out there and recruit any former teammates that haven't signed up again this year (listed at the bottom of your team's page).

One more stats related message - And this is an important one!!
Any of you using the HP Cloud services to fold right now, and intending to do so in the competition - It's up to YOU and ONLY YOU to know what your ACCURATE PPD and WUPD numbers provided by the HPCS will be, esp. after the 20gb RAM limitation kicks in.
I just spent 5 days changing down to the single core systems and running on ONLY those slower instances to get my accurate numbers.
If you DON'T do this, you will only be hurting your team when HP forcefully brings you down to compliance numbers.
Just a friendly warning.

We don't have a prize for reaching our Contest Goals yet, and with the next generation NVidia Kepler GPU's that could be released in April, I was thinking of upgrading the current two GTX560 Ti SC to the Kepler successor, GTX660 Ti SC?, as soon as it's available (winner's choice of course). So I will upgrade the current two GTX560 Ti SC to the Kepler successor, GTX660 Ti SC?, if we: - Raise awareness about folding and attract members to folding: At least 1,400 active users -EOC Team Users Info-- Fold more than 700 million points for the month of March 2012: -EOC Monthly Production-- Reach 25 million points in a 24 hour period: -EOC Daily Production-
