Congratulations all. Man what an effort. On top of all the discussions, new members, returning friends, crash and burns, overachieving, and down right amazing efforts to help others succeed. We still blew away the original all time record goal of 700 MILLION and almost achieved 800 MILLION.
Do not loose site of that!!! Our original all time record was 665 Million. We beat that by over 120 MILLION!!!
Just think, how much more performance we would have if we could just learn to get along and recognize that everyone has emotions and opinions that may not be like our own. I mean, just think about that...
Regardless of where you're feelings are as a person with anyone elses opinions. One fact cannot be denied.
Team EVGA IS the team to beat.
Like [H] said when we raced to beat them for those few years, to be the man you have to beat the man. Well we not only beat them, we have owned them this last year and this month. BTW. Look at how kick butt they have been this month!!! We may have broken the all time record ever, but they have the second best record ever at the same time. Had we not had this focus, just think where that would leave us...
What does all this mean? Humanity wins!!! We are helping those we do and do not even know. And by golly from the smallest teams to the top teams, that is all that matters...

P.S. Idea floater here...
Our next contest/idea/goal needs to be being the first team to ever break 1,000,000,000 (One Billion) Points in one month.
I propose that we approach [H] and see if they would like to have a race to a billion. Not sure about you, but that would be a seriously tough race to win for both teams!
It would require sacrifice of other projects, new members and returning members to participate.
Oh wait... That is what science needs right!!!

Oh yeah.. I was just thinking down the road... I also know summer sucks... But I was also thinking as a contingency plan in May if CC looks like it is not an option (According to the team, not even sure how everyone will feel once they finally announce the rules) this year for us.

I wasn't folding the last couple of days of the contest due to an upgrade build, tbh I'm new to builds so my brother helps me... make that, takes over... He decided that we'd do it the night before he was due to go away for a week so I have 2 rigs sitting built but needing checking and OS. Then when he gets back he's home for 2 days before moving across the country either permanently or a couple of years. Once done I should have a couple of nice folding rigs. Who knew I'd be this addicted after one year of being here   .

Yep, hard on hardware, but fun for sure!  Most of the low end computing HW I could care less about, but I did lose a newer mobo (or atleast the option for PCI-E video, killed 2x X9000 CPU's, a 500w PS, a GTX550 VC (not even modded yet), and killed my excess stock of home routers... ...Still worth it!
