Noice!  Thanks to all who signed up.

Wow we went from 131 a day or two ago to 200+!  SWEET!

We've been hard at work behind the scenes making that happen.

Troy is the one that deserves the "Blue Ribbon" for driving the idea of sending out the PM's, creating the spreadsheet and seeking the help within our Team to get it done.  I really hope the Mods will recognize Troy for this very strategic effort that is having a huge impact to our Sign-up status and Team participation.

Personally, I think that texinga is more deserving of a BR than myself.  I may have slowly put this effort together over the course of a week, but texinga took it upon himself to dedicate the better part of a day and see to it that we got the whole list accomplished within a 24 hour period covering more than half of it himself.  The results speak for themselves as we had around 70 people sign up yesterday.  I'd rather see texinga than myself be rewarded for this effort.

i've just signed up to this, a technical question as don't wanna mess it, my cpu can do --hopefully with evgapes passkey -- a 60-70k job over 3 days. that yields 3 or 4 big WUs at best. i figure, if i start 2 days before 'D' day it'll be just right, ie 4 WUs. is that allowed?

What is not allowed is stopping your machine from folding in order to "time" the work unit properly.  This is a huge gray area, however.

I believe that as long as you dont pause the W/U to have them hit on the first day you should be fine, you cant help it if the WU finishes the first or second day in

Thanks for the invite! Just plugged in my new passkey and from what I understand I need to complete 10 wu in a row uninterrupted in order to "prime" it?

Looks like we are still running second place tho. Keep spamming invites, lets get everyone involved!

So ready for the CC, got my own passkey re-primed and maybe I can get my other 2600k build set up before the competition to add another 45k+ PPD.

HMM .. I started folding with my PS3 then when I first put together this rig I had a single 470, went to the stanford site and DLd thier client. Worked fine NP. Now I have upgraded to 2 560Ti SC and the Stanford client is only using my bottom card. So, what I wanna do is uninstall the Stanford client, nab the Jedi version and get 6 cpu cores plus 2 GPU all folding at the same time. Soo .. thats whatimado right now, may the force be with me so that I may get this rig 'a rockin in time.

Well, my new 580 is in, and I just finished switching over my usernames to EVGApes - I've currently got a pair of 580 SC churning away plus an i7-965@3.73 GHz folding SMP -bigadv units (my room is a bit warmer than usual right now...). I might also be able to get an 8800GTX, but I'm not sure about that right now.

Had to make sure my surprise was 100%

lol i waited till near last minute but put me in for 50k plus i already signed up and got my new 2600k ready to rock big adv at 5.2Ghz couple 580's and 990x in a pear tree :P

sorry i could not be involved every day for couple months like last year but the odds are strongly against us as i see 7 of our top 20 producers are not signed up yet. we need a prize to draw them in maybe a 580 or 570?

also so everyone knows we timed the big adv to hit 2-3 hours after contest start time with no stopping last year for the fianl push we switched to smp wu's as their would not be enough time to finish a big adv. so for all the big adv folders who were not here last year as the contest draws near the end if you can't finish a big adv in time be sure to use the -oneunit flag and switch smp core A3 wu's for last day and a half.

anyone remember this from last year?
that is how devoted to team evga we was as many chipped in so we could get this made and send to evga HQ!
it will take double the effort in half the time to duplicate what we did last year. so be sure not to just get current evga folders going but your family and friends as well.

time to sling poo
