For anyone that wants to help spread the word: I have created a list of the top 1000 currently active folders and cross referenced it with those that have and have not registered for the chimp challenge. Currently Barbarossa, rjbelans and myself are sending PMs to as many folders as we can to alert them the Chimp Challenge will be starting in 1 week and that we need the full weight of our team throughout the CC. If anyone would like to join and assist this effort you would be doing our team a service in getting ready for the CC as well as relieving some of the immense workload for those already a part of this initiative. Please shoot me a PM if you would like to help out.

I'm using my own passkey (it's the key who identifies me, right?). Changing to EVGApes guess it should be enough, yes/no?

If you use your own Passkey with the EVGApes UserID, then for SMP WU's you will need to prime your Passkey with (10) WUs before you will get bonus points for SMPs. That is what I did since I will primarily be running Bigadvs and would like to track my own points contribution. I don't think any priming is necessary for GPU WUs. The alternative is to use the EVGApes UserID and one of the already primed Passkeys that are available from our CC Leaders (Barbarossa, etc).

necessaryevil426 How do you "re-prime" a pass key? Complete 10 SMP wu's while using the key and the new name.

You will go right back to getting the bonus because your original passkey is already set with your username.

I'm in, of course. I fold with my gaming rig when it's not gaming, and the machine is off when I'm away for longer than a day. I've never missed the 350.000 mark, though, so I should be good for 11K/day. Thank you troy8d for the PM.

A number of people are committing to the Chimp Challenge without filling out the sign up form. Aside from the fact that it helps us out organizationally, remember that you are not eligible to win a prize in the drawing if you have not officially signed up for the contest.

Just signed up. I'm pullling down 15k-20k a day depending on my and my son's gaming time. Guess gonna have to fire up the spare 275gtx for a few weeks for a little boost in PPD. (wife made me shut it and another 3 boxes down when the $425+ electric bill came in!) I'll hide it under the desk without a monitor...she'll never know

I'm in, and although I'm currently pulling 18-20k PPD, I should be good for 30-40k (possibly more, since I just switched my CPU from -advmethods to -bigadv too) by the challenge, since a second GTX 580SC to go with my current one will be arriving Monday (the challenge plus the $30 MIR finally pushed me over the tipping point towards SLI). I might also be able to fire up the old 8800 GTX for the challenge as well, and add in a couple more thousand.
