So I'm looking at updating my surround system when Intel Skylake i7-6700k comes out this fall. I haven't settled on what I'm going to do. Currently I'm running a 1080p surround system on one Titan X and it's going very well. But I'm really interested by the vertical area increase and pixel density of 1440p. So here's the options I'm looking at:

1) Acer XR341CKA 21:9

I'm leaning away from this option, but it would get rid of my bezels, get me to 3440x1440p and actually improve my performance over what I'm running now. But they kind of lost me when I found out the refresh rate is only 75hz. I'm running 120hz now, and not sure I want to downgrade. Still, I'm not familiar enough with G-Sync to know if it would actually be a downgrade. I'm sure one Titan X would push 75fps for awhile. Anyone heard rumors of a similar 21:9 IPS panel that does 120hz coming soon? Thoughts on G-sync vs 120hz?

2) 1440p Surround at 120hz-144hz

First question in this category: I'm sure I'd have to do two Titan Xs to get here, but would two Titan X be able to push this setup at least 60-70fps on AAA titles?

What are your thoughts? I'll probably wait until Windows 10 comes out to make a decision. My understanding is that DirectX 12 will change all the math on SLI setups.
