Between the price point of the TI and the fact that the product description looks like Nvidia is not going to use GDDR5X makes me wonder...

Same thing they did with the 1080 and 1070.  Otherwise, there might not be all that much difference between the two.

Nice, I expected that, price will replace GTX1080, I expect nice GTX1080Ti to buy for self as New Year Present.
Or if price of GTX1080 drop on 500-550$ I would not complain. But AMD should be respected at least until they fail again and until they show Vega.

So is this confirmed to be fake or? Still waiting on my pre-order 1080 Hybrid so this would be a perfect time to cancel and wait for the Ti if it would be true. But still GDDR5, wat the heck :')

    A) WCCFTech will post anything that might get people onto the site
    B) As I mentioned above, this article was posted a month ago!  Someone saw it and mentioned it and now there are several stories linked to it.  Doesn't it seem odd there were no comments on the article until the other sites linked to it?
    C) Do you really think they will use GDDR5 on a Ti?
    D) Again, WCCFTech will post anything that might get people onto the site

    Here is the original posting.

EDIT:  LMAO!  It was originally posted by someone on Reddit and WCCFTech pulled it from there.

When people fake news at least attempt to fake something plausible with the right video memory types. Sure, we'll see a 1080ti, they'll just be another bunch of binned chips in this mess TSMC is currently having with Nvidia. Probably just failed GP100 chips laser cut. It'll be out at Nvidia's leisure to counter anything AMD might have that challenges them. Either way TSMC is screwing things up for Nvidia bad right now.

True, it would, but GDDR5X holds out more than GDDR5 when you have all the VRAM loaded and maxed out.

The specs look like they took the Titan X and changed that to GTX 1080 TI and then changed some numbers. Also, if  I was the one photoshopping it, I would make myself do less work and keep it as GDDR5X and only change clock speeds and core count and maybe change the amount of VRAM listed. Also, if you look at different articles, they don't all list the same specs, the wccftech one says both GDDR5X and GDDR5, others say GDDR5X and still others say GDDR5. notice that the GTX 1060, and Titan X leaks were much more clean and matched up much better than these. I still stand by my position that we will not see a GTX 1080 TI unless the RX 490 comes out this year and beats at least the GTX 1070.

Sloppy use of Photoshop.  You have to zoom in and adjust at the single pixel level, in my humble experience.

HA HA That's good detective work!

Doesn't make sense that they would use GDDR5 on a Ti, then again once the 980Ti was out the TITAN X had no real purpose (for gaming anyway) so they might 'retard' the Ti so it's not in direct completion with the TITAN XP, then again theses specs are possible fake...

Interesting, hopefully we'll hear more legit specs soon.
