Normally how long does it take for EVGA to release ACX/ICX card after their initial release?  I really love the 1080 FTW2 but I really don't want to buy it on the eve of the 1080 ti coming out.

I just built a z270 matx build but I passed on getting a card for now because I'm unsure of the situation.

Until NVIDIA and EVGA announce a new product officially then any new products are considered to be rumor. Wait for this timer to expire and see what NVIDIA announces at that time:

Was not asking about when the Ti launches....

Generally anywhere from the same time to a month later. In some instances the months but that is generally found with something like the classified or hydrocopper models.

I've never bought a brand new release from EVGA before. How do I know when a certain model variation becomes available and how long do new cards last before they're sold out? Minutes? Hours?

Any time a new card is released, it is sold out within minutes from almost every single retailer. Supply and demand.. the demand is extremely high, and supply is usually good, but when the quantity of people that sit at their computer smashing f5 is high, they run out quick.

Thanks for the replies.  I'm contemplating picking up the FTW2 ICX 1080 now and using the step up program to get the next iteration's FTW version but I don't know how the release windows are for the FTW versions of video cards.

It sucks not having a video card

The upgrade program that is out right now is a special program. The ftw 2 and ftw's typically are not part of the step up program, as stated above in the post just above mine.

If nvidia only release 1080TI for this magic intro http://www.geforce.co.uk/  that would be sad, Titan XP is a cutdown and ti is a cutdown :P   But i think and hope so much we will se pascal refresh or volta at GTC :)

Sorry I've never done a "Step Up" before. Can you "Step Up" from (example: 1080 SC -> 1080Ti SC)

Currently, we are not sure. If evga adds the 1080ti to the step up, it would be 1080 sc to 1080ti reference clocks. Gpu boost 3.0 will definitely push the reference card beyond sc speeds.

Is it a Blower style cooler or ICX/ACX cooler?

Typically have multiple options. One Founders Edition (more expensive), one ACX/ICX (not sure which yet), one evga blower style that is much less expensive than the FE.
