They will almost definitely not be on the step up list. I asked the same question to sales rep and he said those card are made in limited quantities and he has never seen those cards on the list. I also seen a lot of posts with the same question getting the same answer as no they will not be offered on the list. The FTW most likely will not make it either.

http://www.evga.com/support/stepup/ step up program explained. http://forums.evga.com/EV.-StepUp-Program-f34.aspx step up forum dedicated to these types of questions. And there is a 90 day from purchase window to step up. If the Titan or 1080 Ti isn't released within that window, then no you can't step up to it. Step up cards that are offered are usually only base models, not FTW or Classified.

So basically there is no step up program for a 1080 card even though it'd an evga advertised feature.. that's real nice....

that was my dilemma with one of my 980 ti cards. I could have stepped up to a 1080, but my goal is a single 1080ti or possibly a 1080ti classified

Yeah but I'm gonna buy a 1080 ftw... just wanted to know where my step up is. never have asked before a card purchase before.

Titan no, Ti yes, but they won't be around for several months, way past the step up time if you bought one right now.

Well a 1080 ti would be fine, it's not cool to have step up as a product feature but no card to step up too.
Else it should read buy an old outdated card and get in our step up program. But it doesn't, it implies every evga card is eligible for stepup.

You could always use what ever program ASUS or MSI has to offer or any other company for that matter.

They never advertised you could step up from a 1080. They just have the step up program which is a great feature. I had AMD dual R9 295x and I was soo tired of AMD for every reason so I was literally about to purchase 980 Ti's. If I had I would have been able to step up. Fortunately they announced the release so a had to wait a few weeks. I am soooooooooo glad I left AMD. Many people got to take advantage of just that situation. I really have to say GET OVER IT. Just buy the FTW sell it on Ebay when it is time and upgrade to whatever you want. Its the same thing and you might even make out better if you get a good price for the FTW. If you get in quick on the upgraded card you want you could possibly get a more for it than you paid. So what happens when you get your Ti or Titan are you going to be miffed there are no other cards to step up to simply because they haven't been created yet which is exactly what you are miffed about now.

Step-up is not a "product feature". It's a service offered by EVGA. It's mostly meant to address situations where a new product is just around the corner, and customers would get hesitant to buy the current products because of that. It's not intended to let you buy something that has just been released, and then upgrade it yet further when the next latest and greatest is available. Or to buy a card and then trade it in a year later for the price you paid when it was new.

I did not say it was a "Product Feature" I said it is a great feature as in the step up program is a nice feature of EVGA. Something offered as a special attraction:

lol step up is only available for 90 days and the 1080 is already the newest card so you can't step up any further. I don't see why you feel like you've been lied to? They don't even have to offer this feature.
The step up program is largely for people who purchased a card at the end of it's life cycle and didn't know that rumors were claiming a new card would launch within 90 days.
In this case, no new cards are coming.
