Occasionally I get double or multiple images while gaming with the 1080 SC ACX3 and have to reboot to get rid of the problem. I didn't have this problem with the Titan X's (Maxwell) or the FE that's in the machine now. I'm not going to try multiple things to try to get the card to work but if anyone knows of something specific that causes this problem I would appreciate it. Changing drivers doesn't help.

Hi,
Double images? are they artifacts? does it happen only in games or during regular usage?
Nevertheless, I would reseat the video card and/or change the cables for the monitor. Also, make sure you use display driver uninstaller to remove the drivers. I always use DDU, Screen goes to multiple images, usually double but no artifacts. It happens in games but if I alt/tab out it's everywhere so I have to reboot, then it doesn't happen again until gaming begins. The card has been swapped a few times in testing with other cards and it only happens with the SC ACX3 so re-seating does no good. And since it only happens with the SC ACX3 card "I'm not going to try multiple things to try to get the card to work but if anyone knows of something specific that causes this problem I would appreciate it". ps.... I've been using the same monitor, cable, etc. and have had no problems with and other hardware or accessories.

C.S., Doesn't really look like that. Mine gives double desktop icons, double everything.

I am at work atm so maybe you posted a pic but if you have a picture of it that may help. That does sound very odd to me.

A screenshot or picture would help us to understand what's going on. It almost sounds like 3D is enabling somehow.
Also, if a screenshot doesn't show the problem, then it's happening after the video card renders the frame, which would point to either the port on the video card, the cable, or the monitor. Since your other cards don't experience this, it's highly unlikely that it's anything other than the card though. Definitely get in touch with us for an RMA on the card.

Sajin, That's what logic says, maybe I'll move the ACX3 to the FE to stop the throttling and live with the results. Seems the new Titans aren't going get my business this time around.

Problem band-aided but not fixed. Apparently the card can 'performance' but not let 'let 3d app. decide' all at the sacrifice of some 'quality'. I'll get a TitanXp when available, move the ACX3 cooler to an FE and can the card.
